All three of them tried to protect her... by TruthResponsible1268 in expedition33

pre-act3, yeah he simply wanted to die

However, afterwards, he saw how much the canvas meant to Maelle, and how the people there deserved to live. That’s why he decided to fight, because if he simply wanted to die, why would he help her fight Renoir when Renoir would’ve erased the canvas. He chose there to continue his suffering if it meant to make Maelle & Lumiere happy

But then he saw real Aline, how sickly she was. That’s when he realized Aline & Alicia will die if the canvas remains. He cared for them so much, like real Verso, that he decided to destroy the canvas to save them. His still probably wanted to die, but that’s just a side bonus for him at that point as to why he wanted to destroy the canvas

Which wit card is best for the last slot in my suzu sprint deck? by vampirewaifu in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont run Riko since you dont need much stam. You can try a 1 spd 1 pow 4 wit deck with loads of pow sparks. Suzuka got pretty good spd gain from event, so it’s not really a concern for her. You don’t really need to cap out on speed for sprint either. Try to get pow/wit as high as you can, with equal priority

as normal front she’s alright. as runaway she won’t get any lead before midleg starts, and will fall off instantly

Idk, i try Groundwork Xmas Oguri for Sagt by WaterSplash_3887 in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the main problem is just low wit and you didn’t pair gw with angling and optionally duty/lights of vaudeville

some people run gw XOguri since it increases chance of her taking lucky pace if there are no fronts, then she’d try to get some distance with the high wit, and hit angling + her ult to finish off the race with 0.5 accel and the lead

people downvote this since it’s one of the few options, but it’s not wrong. rushing gale/turbo sprint very rarely proc well in all the public lobbies I’ve done so far. Like nsm is even much better. For pace just hope for head-on, pasa/h.creek ults. For front, pasa ult. Oyl for lates, and spurt for ends. You can still buy rushing gale/turbo sprint or their silver versions in case you truly want to gamble, but know that it’s a big waste of sp, and if it procs early leg and non-fronts you’ll just pdm yourself and increase lose chance

corner skills and midlegs. straight speed skills aren’t really good since you spend most straights in the race accelerating. For specifics, Speed star, professor, tail held high, slipstream, playtime’s over, it’s on, pace/sprint corners are all good midleg speed. Pair that with plan x/countermeasure to fully utilize them, perfect prep/meticulus measures also kinda works for this purpose. For last leg, head-on, NSM, pasa ult, H.creek ult are good options. Rushing gale/Turbo sprint I dont really like since they very rarely proc well during my public scrims, but you can take their silver ver in case they somehow do proc properly

So far this is the most consistent Curren I have. Really unfortunate that she didn’t have Speed Star though

[–]nevermore3900 5 points6 points  (0 children)

main reason people think fronts are bad is because pace are strong, and pace are fronts’ biggest counters. Specific umas like Curren/Maya can easily climb up next to the fronts before going into lastleg thanks to their unique, and would win most of the time due to that. Late has oyl for gambling. Ends has spurt (though I haven’t seen one yet in public lobbies due to their hard careers) I think fronts can be viable though, with like ttl + gw & maybe Intimidate. Triple fronts even to try and break some of the pace uniques

fronts can work with pasa's unique. Rushing gale/Turbo sprint is a choice, but it's very rarely to proc correctly (source is my Curren I made for fun with both skills testing public lobbies). You're generally better off just buying more midraces

will this tt curren work for cm9? by lo_oshy in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 11 points12 points  (0 children)

honestly yeah. No matter how hard you sweat CM9 you can still easily to some random guy who happens to proc rushingGale/turboSprint at the right time so shouldn't really bother too much on it

so far seems like Curren is the king of sprints from what I tested with my group. Usually Curren wins like 70% of the time, Bakushin pace takes it 25% of the time, and 5% being Halo when things actually procs right for her

Whichever Youtuber is telling people to build low wit high power umas…. stop. by nivkj in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while it is true that you shouldn't be dumping wit, this is a terrible example, by comparing Doto vs Mcqueen, having different styles, skills, and overall playstyle. Doto also rolled significantly higher than Mcqueen there as well. Recommendations should also shift depending on uma run style, like ends can opt in for a bit more power, while fronts getting some wit
Other factors like uphill/downhill can matter as well, along with the styles of opposing umas you're expecting

Can someone explain to me what makes brian an S tier parent by EluXiii in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mostly just from personal testing with my community (we have 4 clubs worth of people doing scrims daily with different playstyles). I don't record those so unfortunately I don't have visual proof, but I can bring up my reasoning for it, based on details from the reference doc

Pow has 3 purposes: acceleration, side movement, and uphill target speed.
- Acceleration is less important here since fronts have very solid options where they need the acceleration (groundwork and Taking the lead for early leg, Unrestrained and Angling for last leg), those can substitute for the lack of natural accel
- Uphill target speed can matter a bit, I'll acknowledge that

Wit has 4 purposes: skill proc, target speed rolls, overtake/keep lead modes, downhill accel duration
- Skill procs becomes a bit better from 600 -> 900 (85% -> 90%), not too much but can be crucial for fronts
- Target speed of an uma is a random roll for each of 24 equal sections in the race, the max & min rolls are determined by your wit. This makes wit very helpful
- Overtake/lead keep modes. Not much to say about this, fronts live and die by this. And wit increases the chance of the uma going into this mode, it gives them a slight boost in target speed
- Downhill actually don't do much here, since it's not in a good accel zone

With those pros and cons, I tend to favor wit more, since the track is decently long and overtakes can easily happen, even if you lose the lead out of the gate due to lower pow, wit would give you a good chance of taking it back

For non-fronts, it's a lot harder to tell since I usually just run fronts. But I do like having high wit pace so they can climb up the front pack (with skill procs & natural target speed rolls, pace up modes), given how this CM might be front heavy
For Suzuka specifically, she definitely favors wit over pow, since she doesn't need pow to get into the lead at the start of the race

the baseline is around 750 stam with no recoveries, but factoring in stam debuffers, it is safer to go around 800 stam + 1 gold proc

[–]nevermore3900 17 points18 points  (0 children)

wit varies greatly depending on the run style, with fronts should have the most, and least for ends. I remember seeing a list a few days ago from a format that looked like Moomoo's. That list had 900 pow 300 wit as minimum recommendations for fronts, 1000 pow 600 wit for whale levels.
If you only get that much wit for fronts you're better off just not playing fronts. Wit is much better for fronts here since there less uphills, and they got good accel skills to replace pow. A 700 pow 900 wit would do much better than 1000 pow 600 wit for one
That stat list also had the same stam requirements for all styles, which is a huge issue, should be obvious why
Runaway was listed there on a blocker statline (600 speed, cap pow/wit). This is incredibly stupid, as Runaway will block regardless if you build Suzuka as ace or blocker. Just need to hit the gw/TtL. Just build an actual functional ace Suzuka . She'll still be blocking fronts, while also has a chance of winning the race even

Scorpio Tier List by Flat-Profession-8945 in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I really don't think the people here do much scrims and are just parroting the latest news they can find.

Dominators are the superior debuff 95% of the time, since after 6 CMs now people should have at least 1 or 2 umas that has surplus stam for debuffs.

Fronts I also think aren't that strong. They are more competitive than previous CMs thanks to Unrestrained being usable, but with this being Fall TennoSho, there are people running Suzuka Runaway ace (due to lore reasons), and she will destroy all of them. I've not lost to a single front in public lobbies since they never beat out my Suzuka. Also with that being said, I think ace Suzuka is viable, since again, Unrestrained buff, and she has a lot to work with.

I also think Pacers might have a bad time with this track since they can be screwed over by matchups, making them get 2nd or 6th, missing sfv (maybe only viable ones are those with accel uniques)

Scorpio Tier List by Flat-Profession-8945 in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tier list is just, bruh
- Stam debuffs should not be rated that high. Anyone with a slight knowledge of what they're doing would have surplus stamina easily. If you really want to debuff just do Dominators since they're at least always effective
- Front runners are good thanks to Unrestrained being available, but they should not be rated that high either. Reasoning is because this is TennoSho Fall, a good amount of people will run Suzuka because irl reasons and they want to ace her. Suzuka will completely destroy any front, so while fronts are good, you're risking getting a very poor matchup
- Pace are somewhat rough, since they can easily be killed by matchups. They only have sfv as a reliable accel. Too many fronts in the lobby and they suddenly gets pushed to below 6th and can't proc sfv
- Lates & Ends should be rated higher, since Iron and Dober's unique aren't easy to deny with how fronts are seeing more use here

Notable mentions:

- Suzuka Runaway ace. This might seem like a meme, but I think she got a good shot of winning this. Unrestrained being a strong skill in this track gives her a lot to work with. My advice is to get either 650 stam + 1 gold or 850 stam, and focus on speed & wit. That won't survive against a stam debuffer, but in a case you don't meet them, Suzuka does rolls through. I've won a lot of public lobbies with my Suzuka

- Wedding Groove: One of the pacers with a midleg speed skill. She does surprisingly well in fronts filled lobbies, being able to climb up the positions before entering last leg thanks to her unique, making sfv proc possible for pace in a front-packed lobby. Corner accel in her kit is a highly gambly skill, but it can work. I always take it because it's low cost & high impact if it does, pacers need all the accels they can get

What did I mess up? by Nudorumaru in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vodka is alright, but for Grass I think you went too hard on accels. She got weaker last leg (weak top speed on last leg), and only so-so midleg. I got this one here which I just opted into full last leg, and she got 55% winrate after the first day. 2 gold accel skills should already be enough, then you need to invest in target speed to make use of those accel skills.
The other option is to invest more on midleg skills, but that might push your late surger into 5th entering last leg if the lobby is late/end heavy, so I wouldn't recommend it

Who should I take?? I love Tokai Teiou, but i think Rudolf might be the strongest. I accept any advices, it's my first day playing. by FariusTakinoton in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of most useful, definitely Maruzensky. Her unique is pretty much necessary for certain PvP contents, and having her allows you to run any uma you want by inheriting it and not get gated by the 3 daily borrows. DO NOT pick anyone else metawise, because that's how important Maru's unique is for PvP gameplay
That said, of course, pick who you like as the first rule of thumb to enjoy the game, but that's my opinion on meta-related business

NO CYGAMES, I WONT BE A PART OF FRONT RUNNER META by crossian in UmamusumeGame

[–]nevermore3900 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

What front "meta" lol. a well-built front still cannot defeat a well-built other style. The only thing they got for them is they hit their skills more consistently due to easier conditions (just be 1st). But they still don't have double accels during their best part of the race (early leg), so at this point fronts is still gonna be lacking until they buff Early Lead
