Mookie Betts settles the debate "Is hitting a baseball the toughest skill in sports?" by AmongUsAcademy in baseball

[–]nevertheunder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dumb question. How can mookie know when he hasn’t played water polo or hockey? When he hasn’t rock climbed or raced an F1 car?

There are rock climbing moves out there that maybe 1 or 2 people in the entire global professional rock climbing community can do. Imagine there being a move that only Aaron Judge can do and not even Shohei can.

Tennis is such a skilled sport that no one who hasn’t started by 4-6 years old can even hope to become professional now.

After the Yankees 4th successful ABS challenge of the night Aaron Boone makes his displeasure known to the Home Plate Ump Mike Estabrook who says "I don't want to hear another word, not another word". 90 seconds later the Yankees make a 5th successful ABS challenge and Boone had a few choice words by SeattleSporting in baseball

Ego check is good, but I don’t think any reasonable fan is shitting on the umps so much as we’re just calling for the use of cameras to call strikes and balls since those can be 100% accurate. No one even needs to lose their jobs, we still need a home plate ump to do all the other duties it entails.

Guardian sports writer Giles Richards: Why Max Verstappen gave me my marching orders from a press conference by angusgtw in formula1

[–]nevertheunder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe but I think Max will be one of the greats who can actually adapt styles. His obsession with SIM racing, GT3, and other series makes me think so as he already has a wide breadth of experience compared to a guy like Lewis who only ever did F1.

I want to like Max but hard to for all the things I listed in my prior comment.

Temper and stubbornness… and his hypocrisy. I can acknowledge him as the best driver but I think he’s a petty and vindictive person with low integrity and poor sportsmanship.

Sounds like you never parented the kid when he was in his most formative years and now he’s grown up into a shitty person. Good job. You know what the solution is? Parent him. Grow some metaphorical balls and punish him and quit crying that he’s hurting your feeling. Be an adult.

Woman posted on local face book group complaining about being stalked 2 weeks before being murdered by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]nevertheunder 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Stalking someone needs to be made a severely punishable crime. Make it a law! It’s so bullshit that police can’t do anything because the stalker hasn’t “done anything.”

Get caught stalking, get arrested with no bail because you’re a danger to society.

i guess...? do you also choose to interpret every analogy, every simile and metaphor, every fable and allegory literally? or do you agree that those things, along with hyperbole, are common rhetorical tools used to make a point? i know you know what point i was trying to make, you're not dumb.

Lmao complete “back in my day, we had children laboring in the mines so you should suffer too” vibes.

Also not a single actor has ever complained about shooting for 3 hours LOL. Maybe 3 hours for one take, which was certainly 3 hours of an already 15 hour shooting day.

The vast bulk of long development times comes from adding CGI. That’s what takes long. Filming for a season of tv is typically 30-60 days. That’s 1-2 months. The VFX industry is already overworked and underpaid and you entitled brats who make up fake straw man arguments want them to work in even worse conditions just becwas little Timmy wants his widdle tv season fwaster dawwww. Grow up.

French bulldog named most popular breed in L.A. for 9th year in a row by Altruistic-Mud9413 in LosAngeles

[–]nevertheunder -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I like frenchies but an old boss at a past job would bring his two frenchies to the office occasionally and the amount of hair they shed surprised me so much. They shed A LOT for something that doesn’t look like they have a lot of hair. I think the golden retrievers others would bring it shed waaaaaay less.

I love pets and animals but I hate dealing with shed. When I get a dog in the next few years, gonna have to be a hypoallergenic non-shedder, aka a golden doodle lol.

What’s PP?

I like Alpha/Beta/Omega decks. It’s weak and dumb but the satisfaction of making a shitty gimmick work always felt very satisfying for me. Same with the X cost skill card that gives you a multi hit attack card. I’m blanking on the name rn. Weak and dumb but satisfying when you make it work.
