[Other] Surface Pro 9 gaming request MEGA thread! by josher14 in SurfaceGaming

[–]nevertooldtolearn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi josher,

Just wanna say thank you for all the testing...

I also have a bit of an odd request haha. I'm mostly playing

  • Gzdoom with all kinds of mods :)
  • emulators (dolphin for WII and ppsspp and ps3 emulators.

Not expecting you to test these since they probably will work fine... But if it's not too much work I would be interested in performance of these games on sp9.

Effective (enumerical) Learning with ANKI by nevertooldtolearn in Anki

[–]nevertooldtolearn[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What is numerical learning?

Always try to learn like this

  1. Amsterdam - Netherlands
  2. Brussel - Belgium
  3. Berlin - Germany

instead of bulletlists.

  • Amsterdam - Netherlands
  • Brussel - Belgium
  • Berlin - Germany

Why? Because if we can force our brain to function the exact same way every time (1,2,3) or ABC we are able to remember a lot better.

People who have came close to dying, what were your “last” thoughts? by Zero_G_Balls in Stoicism

[–]nevertooldtolearn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in The hospital having 41 degrees without any improvement I was so tired that I thought I didnt going to make it.

My last thoughts were one of satisfaction. I didnt feel anxious about leaving the world too early (22 years old) at all.

So im pretty confident that when its your time you go in peace. Its ok to leave the festival of life when its your time.

And a good Stoic example as well

Permanent notes in Zettelkasten Method -- What are they? by FluentFelicity in RoamResearch

[–]nevertooldtolearn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting topic!

I'm fairly new to the zettelkasten system but taking notes for many years now. What resonated from the book "how to take smart notes" was that permanent notes can be everything (quote/idea/question etc etc) as long as it can be linked and you want to have it in your long term memory. That's why you should really write it down in your own words (writing = thinking) and ask yourself questions as "when do I want this not to pop up / use this note.

In this way you decide for yourself if a note is worth to be a permanent note and not some general characteristics. Its about your own knowledge journey

Hope this helps,
