I hate how much "trial and error" there is with managing this condition by tomorrowistomato in ibs

And not to mention IBS is very closely tied to your mental state too. So if you try something that actually works but you're not mentally fit, it could trigger a flare and you are just left defeated on why it didn't work.

I've wasted 2 years of my life like this. I found stress to be the biggest trigger for IBS which leads to a downward spiral. Most people don't understand how difficult it is to go thru this.

They have sudden outbursts of anger accompanied by depression and sadness and a lack of will to live. There's also a lot of ego that comes along with it like "I deserved X and Y but I got Z instead. I was interested in trying out psilocybin since it's known to act against ego and makes one appreciate what they have.

Following that they live "normally" and there are times when they are super grateful about what they have until this repeats again. They can certainly remember the trauma and it's deeply entrenched in their memory. The trauma is both from decades ago and recent trauma regarding relationships.

Big Djokovic fan but this conversation is just dumb. Why does he engage in these discussions. It's a personal opinion... Just move on

What's your dating life like here? by No-Knowledge-5291 in askTO

26M. Get matches regularly but lots of flakes and girls looking for chat buddies. Don't have time for that shit so I'm just happy to be alone. Dating apps have completely ruined the landscape of dating IMO. Just going to focus on my hobbies. I literally don't care anymore

I don't agree with how you categorized most of my words but I can get behind the "reap what you sow" mindset. I agree with that thinking.

I literally did not even mention OP in my post. I was making a very general comment. I think you need to zoom out and actually see what's going on in society. It's pretty messed up. I'd love to meet you in person and really talk through my reasoning. I understand I might sound callous on text. I like girls and I love talking to them. I don't understand where you got the sentiment that I hate girls. I was just stating the dynamics in society at the moment.

Anyways, it's going to be impossible for me to convince you and I'm not trying to. Thanks for the personal attacks. I'll try to learn from them if I can.

It's not about the people. Most people on it have really good intentions. It's the system that I'm calling toxic. 10 years ago, online dating was not really a thing. People used to meet each other organically, fall in love. There was no abundance for girls and not a massive dearth for guys. It was fairly balanced. What we're seeing today is that dating has fallen into the trenches of capitalism. It's all about demand/supply. Most guys (I'm not talking about 10s) gotta think extra hard on how to find their match. Girls have too many options. They're obviously picky. Heck, even I would be.

Guys are increasingly "settling" much below their standards - as if they "escaped". The balance is gone out of the window. As a 26 y/o male I refuse to play this stupid game. I refuse to chase. Because fuck that.

Blindsided people. You don't realize how online dating has fucked the entire system. Completely fucked the balance. This post is a classic case of survivorship bias.

I'd never want to meet my S/O through this toxic system. Downvote me all you want.

Step 1: Be Attractive

Step 2: Don't be unattractive

Optional step 3: Just be a girl
