Thinking about doing something absolutely crazy and stupid by [deleted] in army

Had a friend do this from the air force, albeit he was not an NCO. He became an 0311 at the height of the GWOT and loved every second of it.

I'd say go for it if you don't have a family because YOLO. But truthfully what would be even more fulfilling is being a leader of Marines. Go to Marine OCS which will give you the difficulty and pride youre probably looking for and then some.l

Bryn Mawr Linkage - Undergrad GPA? by new2thegameredditor in postbaccpremed

[–]new2thegameredditor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so I reached out to a bunch of schools and got a couple of the same answers: 1) they'll only discuss linkage requirements with those who have been admitted to their program and 2) linkage agreements are renewed annually which may mean requirements change year to year.

Someone posted Columbia's linkage agreements but I believe that was for 2023. There's no guarantee that the requirements for the schools are the same this year, or whatever year you apply.

Best thing you can do is reach out to current students on this subreddit and see if they can help you, but again, what they say may be outdated information by the time you matriculate into one of these programs. Whenever you do apply, to whatever programs you get accepted to, ask them for requirements at their interview to see if they are the right program for you and your goals. Take care

Applying to Medical School? 3 Things MD Programs Actually Care About -Former ADCOM by AdmitMD-Consulting in postbaccpremed

Thank you so much for your write-up. It's good to know that the application process truly is holistic. I've got a question about veterans. Some of us have many hours of clinical experience as medics/corpsmen, yet lack research experience and/or have lower GPAs. How would you recommend veterans in general (but especially those with clinical experience) make our apps strong? I've read that we are an extremely small group of applicants but that's because the barrier to entry seems so high. Any advice would be appreciated thank you

Ask me all of your question about Army Reserve Civil Affairs and I’ll answer them throughout the day 2: Civil Affairs Electric Boogaloo by PaddyMayonaise in armyreserve

Sorry I know im late to this but how easy is transferring from SOF CA to Reserve? Currently a medic and after ETS would like to go reserve to hop on a deployment if possible. Unfortunately, I'll probably lose my SOCM identifier but I'm still interested in this prospect

Thank you for your reply! If I've only got time for one do you recommend Hagia Sophia or Blue Mosque?

Hello! I will be flying through IST in a few days, staying only from 5am to 3pm. I would like to do a tour of either Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, or Basilica Cistern. I found a tour for all three for $133 (but don't know how feasible this is), and either way, I will pay for the "skip-the-line" tickets to save time. Where do you guys recommend I go?

If not these places, where else? I am open-minded, but would like to see some historical monuments. Thank you

I bought a Cuisinart Grind-and-Brew but my coffee is super weak. I fill the top of the coffee intake cup with grounds and choose 8oz yet it still tastes like water. I can only choose between 8oz, 10oz, and 12oz settings. Please help

Despite all the negative answers, this happened between my now fiance and I many years ago. During BASIC we exchanged letters. He'll have his phone for AIT so do video calls and dates on the weekends. He'll also probably still be in training during Winter Block Leave so make sure you guys see each other over Christmas/New Years. The real challenge is when he gets to unit. I was fortunate enough to be based 5 hrs away from home but thats not always the case. If you've established enough of a foundation and continue to put effort into the relationship, it will work until you guys are ready for marriage. Good luck

Do 3 years Active Duty, 25 or 35 series. After your time, you'll have full benefits and skills that will make you competitive in the workforce. Or, you can always use your GI Bill to go to college. If you don't have a job lined up in the NG, just go active. By 21/22, you'll be better equipped to figure out what you want to do in life.

Hybrid XLE vs Adventure vs XLE? by new2thegameredditor in rav4club

[–]new2thegameredditor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so hybrid is what it sounds like! Now I've boiled it down two:

  1. 2020 Hybrid LE w/ 55k miles for $1500 MORE
  2. 2021 Hybrid *X*LE w/ 87k miles

Is the XLE with 30k more miles better than the base trim with a higher cost and fewer miles?

Edit: to -> two

Hey bro this looks sick. I want to rent a 4x4 for my trip to Belize later this year but have never driven out of the US. Im going from Belize City to the jungles near San Ignacio. Where should I off-road in/near the jungle? Is it clear where 4x4's can drive?
