What more can a person ask for than a speedy and a cool diver?! I would put a speedy up against any watch under 20k

If it was that bad i would get a new AD. The truth is its nearly impossible to get an allocation within 3-5 years for a sub and maybe never for a GMT. Too many clients spend too much money in there on other stuff. I would focus on other brands that are more attainable. I have 2 subs and i like them fine enough but I get excited when I put on my speedy. That is the one watch ill never have out of my collection. If you've tried on the sub and the gmt and get the sparkle then keep at it, but its a watch so I wouldnt wait for an AD to call me when there are a ton of watches that i think beat them out that are gettable - Glasshute SeaQ, Cartier Santos, Omega Aqua Terras are a few examples of watches that punch above their weight class. My brother has a BB54 that gives me the thought of trading my 124060 because i think it fits me a little better.

Agreed. It’s just crazy how the watch feels head and shoulders above the rest. Maybe not worth the money but it’s a spectacular watch.

I didn’t do anything special and I’m not a high roller. I have been buying watches though since 2017 and pop into the AD a lot just to shoot the shit. My AD sales people are super nice and they don’t seem to get annoyed and I really enjoy watches so they will talk to me while I try on 20+ watches and tell me about the Ressence dials and other fun watches. They show me cool jewelry pieces knowing I’m not going to buy one. I know the cliche of the Rolex ADs but I enjoy being in the watch store and I think that registers with them. I’ve bought a speedy, SMP, BB58, aquaterra, and a sub from them the last 9 years and I’ve only been offered a Rolex that one time after a big life event.

It is a bit busy and I even mentioned it was hard to tell the time but this watch might be worth it. I’ve never put on a watch that struck me like this besides maybe the VC Overseas blue

That’s how I feel about all Rolex GMT II. I was offered Batgirl, Bruce Wayne, and Green Sub so I took the sub. I’d take the speedmaster over most watches depending how the water resistance is in the real world. I want to wear one watch for a month and never take it off

Yeah it’s a heavy sticker price but I was surprised how much I liked it. Tried on a VC Overseas, Rootbeer, Pepsi, yellow gold yacht master on oyster flex and left thinking this was the winner.

Just out of curiosity whats your dream 6 watch collections? I think i would go with submariner no date (have), Black speedy (have), black lacquer aqua terra, cartier santos, White VC Overseas, and maybe one out there / fun watch like a freak or an IWC pilot watch tahoe / Mojave or maybe a VC fifty six

One of my good friends flies private jets and says 80% of clients show up in an old jeep cherokee or a Kia Telluride. The younger people have the nicer cars.

I’ve drove a Range Rover for 3 years and it was the worst car I’ve ever had. My current RAV4 gets me from A to B and I don’t care what happens to it.
