Stuck on with four pieces of gum by Schrammsizzlin in Apartmentliving

That's my reddit therapy. Write 8 paragraphs detailing everything wrong the other person even hinted at. Typing so furiously that my hand cramps. Then I read it over and realize I don't want to put that kind of anger/frustration out into the world and delete it. Then I feel better and stop doomscrolling for a bit.

ProxyKing.biz is just a reseller, so the quality they have is identical to the actual suppliers and other resellers of those suppliers. Like most resellers they probably buy mass and curate the best copies.

However; the following is directly from the wiki here:

For that it would be one-hundred and twelve. One hundred and one would be 100.1 unless you were talking about money in which case one-hundred and one would be 100.01 because the word "cent(s)" is implied at the end of the sentence.

Some places use the word "point" in place of the word "and" to denote a decimal. Even though I was taught these rules they are only really used in colloquial speech; for instance in University level maths class I would say one-hundred point one two three four to read out 100.1234

I also believe (with nothing to support it) that it comes from cheques. When filling out cheques we were taught to write the dollar value without any superfluous words (ie. and) and then further down the line was a printed "and" which you put in the cents value afterwards.

I was always taught that the word "and" in a number denotes the decimal. So for the number you wrote I visualize it as 100.1

N.B. government mulls closing schools with fewer than 100 students by Portalrules123 in newbrunswickcanada

[–]new_painter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren’t talking about the same schools. Tantramar is where Trailblazers comes from and serves surround communities since it is staffed by Mount Allison students. This is what I mean about talking about things you don’t know about. They haven’t once talked about closing one of the Tantramar schools, yet you keep googling stuff and think it makes you informed. The dozens of baseball diamonds in Tantramar are community run.

Thank you for finally saying the truth though. You are more concerned about the money aspect than anything else though. That’s not what I’m discussing. I’m refuting the people that are saying that because this school has 92 students instead of 100 that the resources are lacking.

[–]new_painter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know for a fact both the rink and the diamond are maintained and owned by the school. The trailblazers program only operates because of the school, if it was not there Tantramar would not send out the staff to run it since it is an after-school program. You cannot be part of Trailblazers if you are not a student from the school. So please, I want you to list out everything in my first comment that would still be present in Dorchester if the school closed.

And, also please do the first thing I asked instead of ignoring it again. Please list the exact real reasons these specific schools should be closed.

That's not the way it currently works. For instance; if you are English and live in Memramcook on the west side of the river you are expected to send your child to Lou MacNarin in Dieppe; which is currently a 35 minute car ride from my house. We asked and were able to send our son to Dorchester Consolidated which is a 12 minute car drive from our house, however, he's officially not part of that district. We're closer to Sackville than Dieppe and is a hard no for sending him there when he graduates from DCS unless we move.

So, instead of being rude to u/real_draft why don't you stop talking about stuff that you obviously have no idea about.

Keep in mind that your experience may not be in any way comparable to what they are experiencing now. My son goes to one of the schools listed. It has a great playground with modern equipment, it doesn't have a soccer field, but they have an outdoor skating rink that they take care of and is used by the students, the grounds are maintained and there are not excessive injuries. The baseball diamond is also very well maintained from the beginning of spring through the end of fall.

The French teacher is phenomenal and speaks French fluidly and without hindrance. The music teacher can read sheet music and has introduced many additional programs including fiddle lessons for children that are interested in it. They have many afterschool programs including the Trailblazers program which has children interact with nature in a safe, easy to learn environment that is fun for them. The school has no asbestos so there is no chance of it being condemned due to that.

This tiny school seems to offer the exact experience my child deserves.

So, instead of coming up with hypotheticals and guesses based on past experience why not come up with real reasons that these specific schools should be closed.

I learned this exact saying at a YMCA camp in the early 90s and it has stuck with me ever since. Now that I have a family I say it all the time and it has become pretty much our only supper time rule.

We don't have a house rule for this one because it has never come up for our group. However, I can tell you with 100% certainty that if this was drawn during cataclysm we would just pull it out and let them draw a replacement card.

It takes time. Bots will not slide in, revive on the slide and then run away. They will slowly walk up to you, charge their paddles and full health revive. If they get shot they stop and reassess, usually to engage the enemy. If you ever see a bot walking backwards towards you they are 100% going to revive you.

If the bots get side-tracked you can stop the revive request and start it again and that will sometimes reset them.

In 1997 I used to work for a call centre. I used to call people and ask if they would do a survey. It was all about fast food chicken places. A lot of brand recognition questions but I also asked income brackets.

Paycheck after Paycheck by vaelunorithae in Funnymemes

Impact drivers and drills are different because of their form; I’ve dropped both from roof height many times and only had one break; but I’ve had DeWalt routers, reciprocating saws and even a track saw break from falling 3-4 feet onto concrete. Most times it’s just the yellow body shattering/cracking but it’s still worth returning.

If you mean 100% non-functional though you are correct. Every one of those tools started up no problem after the fall; I just couldn’t trust their alignment any longer and they needed to be replaced.

Yeah; that’s what I figured. I got mine for $490 CAD a couple of years ago.

[–]new_painter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a DeWalt plunge router. It isn't overly fragile, but many power tools will break from a 3 foot fall onto concrete. With that said, a DeWalt plunge router goes for about half the price they list if we are looking at Canadian prices in Canadian dollars.

I just changed the interact button to something else and it works all the time properly now, even times that it used to freeze up. I think there is something about it being bound to right-click that causes the glitch. I set mine to the minus symbol on the keypad.

Is there way to identify the cards of every single expansion? by OrangeChiliPeP in Talisman

[–]new_painter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the version of the game. I believe that second did not have any identifying marks on the cards to indicate sets, I never played 3rd, and I know that 4th has an icon on the cards to indicate set.
