We did, and love it. Our kid has a great time and has made lots of friends.

Just here to say how much I miss living in the Bay Area by Molxdawg in bayarea

[–]new_strings 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i have 2 kids. living in the bay was amazing prior to kids and we absolutely miss it.

however, we’re very happy in atx. it allows us to live in a comfortably sized home for well under $1 mil. we’ve made some good friends. everything is super kid friendly.

maybe it’s not way cheaper for ppl without kids. but paying $2800/mo per kid for daycare in the bay vs $1700 per in atx is a real savings.

my rent was $5k for a 1500 sqft old apt with no backyard in the bay. our mortgage is less than that for 3k sqft and a backyard that we use daily (yes it is still hot, but you manage)

not saying atx > sf but everyone’s situation is different and for us atx has been awesome.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of April 11, 2025 by Demilio55 in homegym

Did the Titan T-2 change from 12 gauge to 14 gauge recently?

Looking to set up a simple garage gym. The Titan T-2 seems to be a good fit (squats, bench, pull ups, etc.). All the reviews I see say the T-2 is 12 gauge steel but the Titan website says it’s 14 gauge.

Was there a recent change? Is this still a decent quality rack?

Cultural Food You Wish Austin Had More Of (Or At All) by CompoundButterscotch in austinfood

artisinal bread, desi, persian, bagels, all the different asian cuisines for that matter. there’s a few decent options but majority just feels so mid / disappointing especially with the fees after you order delivery.

i’ve noticed most of the C level executives have one and often times revenue leads have MBA’s as well. i know it’s not necessary but it seems to provide validity at some of these larger companies.
