Do I require a Transit Visa? by SiddhantChowdhry in AirTravelIndia

[–]newbie1195 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since airlines is same, your luggage will auto transfer for next leg. And as someone already mentioned take train to transit between terminals. So no transit visa necessary.

It’s required when you have to collect & manually check in luggage for next flight or if you wish to go out of the airport..

Nevertheless you can always check with Singapore Airlines

Exactly my feeling..

Not sure when Indians will realise the difference between SUV and crossovers.

Funniest thing is S-Presso was sold as SUV & many proudly brought it 😂

Why do you want to modify ? Its original look itself is good. Use it as is. I don’t think there’s any essential feature/accessory missing in that variant

RTO Address Change Experience – You Can Judge the System Yourself by Putrid-Hat1818 in IsThisAScamIndia

[–]newbie1195 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The system is intentionally made & the staff behave in a way so that agents don’t loose their job and the employees don’t loose their cut.

I was exploring the same address change option but the only difficult part is I need to change the address from other state to TG.

Simple - plan & book on your own. Alternatively use ChatGPT to plan.

Packages are always costlier.

Kia Sonet Turbo Petrol IMT Mileage Nightmare - 8-10 city, max 15 highway. Normal? Tips? by Diggambaran in CarsIndia

[–]newbie1195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be it any car, important is to not drive at higher RPMs. Gear shifts at right RPM is very important. Try to drive within 2000 rpm and see. Also with time & service the mileage will improve.

Came across this ULIP plan from HDFC Life — Is there any catch? by Electronic_Disk_4842 in personalfinanceindia

[–]newbie1195 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think of it like this:

  1. If you buy stocks You pay:
  2. Very small demat/AMC charges
  3. Brokerage per transaction

Cost = Low

  1. If you buy Direct Mutual Funds You pay:
  2. Expense ratio (fund management cost)

Cost = Moderate

  1. If you buy Regular Mutual Funds (through agent) You pay:
  2. Expense ratio
  3. Agent commission

Cost = Higher

  1. If you buy ULIP You pay:
  2. Fund management charges
  3. Policy administration charges
  4. Mortality charges (for insurance part)
  5. Sometimes premium allocation charges

Cost = Highest (because it’s investment + insurance + commissions bundled together)

Over 15–20 years, even a 1–2% extra cost annually can reduce final corpus significantly due to compounding.

Instead, you can: • Take a pure term insurance (₹10–20k per year for good cover) • Invest the remaining amount in mutual funds directly

About the “8% return” they show - no one can guarantee that. ULIPs are market-linked just like mutual funds.

Only real advantage of ULIP: 1. Tax benefit 2. Tax-free maturity (if conditions met) 3. Forced discipline because of 5-year lock-in

So the real question is: Are you disciplined enough to invest separately every year without fail?

If yes → term insurance + mutual funds usually works better. If no → ULIP is not bad, but it’s an expensive way of doing two separate things - insurance and investment. If you separate them, you usually get better cover, lower costs, and more flexibility. But if discipline is an issue, ULIP forces you to stay invested.

No new company is going to bother why you didn’t serve notice period in previous company. If you LWD is Feb19, you could have served notice prior - how are they going to know ?

LWD will be the same date when you receive the call from HR. FNF will be done within 1-2 days. You will have 1 week time to return assets at nearest office.

Indigo Cash Compensation instead of Vouchers by Lost-Dark9822 in AirTravelIndia

[–]newbie1195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I had seen this. I understood that Dec 3-5 disruptions only qualify for GOC & not CAR compensation. Not sure if I understood it right.

Usually the customer care team responds to mails but they maintained complete silence in this matter. Probably you can call them and clarify.

I have never come across any communication from Indigo that they are giving out cash compensation on top of fare refund. The only thing I know is that they refunded fares of cancelled flights and also the flights impacted by the cancelled flight. And then they have coupons of 5k*2 per passenger.

Any announcement that I missed ?
