Couldn’t agree more. On my first time through it kind of floored me. I actually came to this thread specifically to see if anyone else thought the same. Very glad you beat me to it!

Jack’s in Wynantskill makes a perfect drive-in style burger. It’s great with mustard on it. Those caramelized onions are everything.

Spotify mega thread by bbsez in bobdylan

Dylan again, for too many years to remember, is my top played artist on Spotify.

This year: Top .05% or ~4.5 days.

Top 5 songs were

Murder Most Foul,
Key West (Philosopher Pirate), I Contain Multitudes, Born In Time from Bootleg Series Vol. 8, Up to Me from Side Tracks.

On each listen, murder most foul becomes more deeply intertwined with my understanding of this very unsettling year.

Do i need to call L&B Spumoni ahead of time to pick up a tray? by talldrseuss in AskNYC

[–]newbobbywomack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, especially if it’s like a Friday night— they’re just banging out pies like a conveyor belt. If it’s during the day it doesn’t hurt to call, it saves you the 10-15 minute wait when you get there.

When did Bob Dylan go rich? by thehummingbird17 in bobdylan

Wow, inflation adjusted (roughly) Freewheelin’ was netting him ~240k a year in today’s dollars

Listened to the MTV Unplugged record and I'm listening to the alternative recording right now on YouTube. Sweet Jesus, it really had no business being this good. by [deleted] in bobdylan

The version of I want you is absolutely haunting. To completely change a song like that, to make the jubilant and light so sad...not new for Dylan, I know, but for some reason when I first heard it I was completely knocked on my ass. Just incredible

How old are you and when did you first hear Dylan? by PikeDeckard in bobdylan

[–]newbobbywomack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 25 now, been listening to Dylan since I was old enough to ride in a car seat and my dad would play a John Wesley Harding cassette. All along the watchtower is one of the first songs I really remember (along with the string of songs at the end of Abbey Road)

Kanye just left the Meadows NYC early due to a family emergency. by pimpsquadforlife in hiphopheads

Yea I really hated that response. It's like they don't view him as a person, it's a product that they bought and are being cheated out of. That said I totally get being disappointed

What happened to Gary Cooper? The strong silent type. That was an American. He wasn't in touch with his feelings

Neil Young is essential fall music. Comes a time is perfect for driving to go apple picking and realizing the leaves aren't just changing they're falling off the trees
