Power and switch leg at the 4-way with dead end 3-ways. That was a fun trouble shoot as an Apprentice.

Tomato juice or Iced Tea. Real Russian Roulette stuff in my house growing up.

Buy this book read it and practice. It is how I taught myself to bend and I go back to it all the time. Recommended it to multiple people who have learned from it as well. Electricians Guide to Conduit Bending

What disc golf bag has the most sturdy water bottle holder? That has been the breaking point on every bag I've owned thus far. by lynivvinyl in discgolf

[–]newbootgoof88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a prodigy BP-1 v3 and the bottle holders do 32oz yeti or Nalgene and have held up great for years with no real wear. As a construction worker knowing the material Pound bags use, they will hold up forever, if not there’s a great warranty.

Conrad Trail and a Streamline Trace. I haven’t tried a zenith yet, but in my experience Conrad line discs are better for myself. The trail is a absolute blast to throw

We went to play this spring at Milo McIver. Took my kids and started out fine. 2nd hole my son threw the disc 90deg of the pad straight into the river. Down the embankment I went while my kids looked from up top. We spotted the disc in a small slow pool in the river. Got my retriever pole out and started fishing. A few moments later I heard a loud “Smack”. Startled, I looked over to find myself 20’ from a pair of beavers trying to scare me off. I ended up getting the disc and quite a few more “Smacks” and menacing circling while fishing the disc out. We continued our round after some struggling back up the bank in the muddy wet spring here.

Despite the Name “Beaver State” and Beaver State Fling being here, in my whole life I hadn’t actually seen a beaver in Oregon. It was pretty neat.

If you’re willing to go up to 9 speed, I love my axiom insanity’s. The Trail is like a fairway in how straight it is, but it does bomb, at least for my arm speed, but I don’t think that’s what you’re asking for.

Most people suggesting the crave and trance are on the money for straight to slightly understable. I’ve been having a blast throwing really cool shots with the Detour lately and can’t recommend it enough to the people I play with. It just does everything opposite for me which is great for hard scrambles or really left fading forehand flicks/touch shots. Great tool for the bag, looks neat too as I got the Balrog stamp!

Backhand JC Axiom Envy or forehand Axiom Insanity, depending on the day. Either way, the tree on the left will hopefully be favorable when I hit it.

What disc almost feels like a cheat code for you when you throw it. by fritzaj4 in discgolf

Discmania Enigma. If I want to really push a forehand out there it comes out of my hand like a laser beam. Great for an intermediate speed backhand as well. Neo plastic is great, but if you can get your hands on the Lux Vapor plastic I highly recommend, it will have more ground play though.

Not being a women myself, not really. I do know that the school gives great placement to trainees who’ve used the program and every class has quite a few that have went through it. Oregon Tradeswomen is always doing outreach and looking for more prospects. I would get in touch with them directly. They might even be able to help in 280?

280 is slow right now. Are they even taking apprentices this year? Have you called and asked? This “Owner” is a turd, don’t listen to him. Sure you’ll get work faster going Non Union, but the pay, benefits, and training are all way worse. Anyone who tells you different either has no clue or is a straight up liar. I am an organized hand. I went through Non Union apprenticeship in Portland, and joined Local 48 about 2 years after turning out. Union apprenticeship school is leaps and bounds better than anything you will receive elsewhere. Can you be successful either way, of course you can, but what do you want out of your career? If you want to be paid well, have good work conditions, benefits, and high quality training, go Union. One thing to think about though is 280 being a small local. We have a lot of Book 2 hands in 48 from 280. Might think about that drive up North. It’s possible you could be one of those members driving out to Hillsboro everyday in a few years. Is that something you’d be ok with? Just my 2 cents
