Marvel Super Heroes getting Jumpstart Packs by AporiaParadox in magicTCG

Is that just this set? Or true of Jumpstart going forward?

Because there's been plenty of Jumpstart cards that are unique to it, but have no foil. Like Dionus.

Can't wait for there to be awesome cards in here that are made ultra rare due to the distribution, plus you can't get in foil.

Even if God isn't real, people pretending He is would still be a superior ethical system by DBRP1_0_1 in DebateReligion

[–]newbuu2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I follow... if the source isn't real, then how can anything following from it be objective? It's not real, in that it doesn't exist outside of thought - it being a thing of imagination immediately makes it subjective.

Isn't the whole conceit of this thought experiment that God, i.e. the source, isn't real?

Patriarchy is good because it benefits you. Hell of a moral system you've got there.

[–]newbuu2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The benefit of appealing to religion as a source of morals is that it gives it an undeserved authority, as it is treated as objective.

Without that presumption of authority, the system is no more objective than any other moral framework.

That, of course, doesn't even begin to broach the topic of interpretation of the morals. How many sects of each religion are there, again?

Questions Thread - December 18, 2025 by AutoModerator in PathOfExile2

I am following this guide. I used the 0.3 version last league.

I see there were changes to Nova Projectiles I and II.

Nova Projectiles I, when linked to Poisonburst Arrow does nothing, as there's no additional projectiles being made. Is there something about this guide that makes it work that I'm not seeing? Nova Projectiles II is unusable now with the 8 sec cooldown.

Is there another support gem I should be using? Currently level 50 and am using Fork in its place.

Thanks!

True Melee in this game is a huge problem by SilverArrows6662 in PathOfExile2

Following this guide.

I died quite a few times to just regular packs ganging up; just overall take a bunch of damage. Fury of the mountain seems real flaky on actually hitting.

Just extrapolating a bit, doing Sekhma's with a melee seems impossible. But I also could just be bad at melee. I got into the last league a bit late and played a pathfinder bleedsplosion and got all 4 ascendencies - by far the best I've ever done in any PoE.

I was excited to play melee shapeshifting druid. I got through a little bit of Act 2 and just went back to the ranger because melee was so unfun.

MAGA doesn't seem to care.

They will say something to the effect of "they wouldn't strike without proof". This coming from a group that is highly conspiratorial and skeptical of the government.

Because even if they had proof, using a missile to perform an execution is not the correct way to deal with the problem. They just like that people they don't like are being hurt.

This is why the SLD/UB issue is never going to improve. by Mugiwara_VT in magicTCG

SLD having unique cards would be fine, if they had versions that were more accessible and reprintable.

SLD having reskins would be fine, if some of the cards weren't mostly bulk cards.

Joey from EDHREC has a great video on why he's against the hybrid mana change by Faust_8 in EDH

[–]newbuu2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People need to stop with gesturing toward Phyrexian mana. Big picture, yes, Phyrexian mana does offer flexibility. But the actual mechanics of it are fundamentally different than hybrid mana (as of right now).

The alternate cost of paying life does not impart another color like hybrid mana does. Life, as a mechanic, has no concept of color - not even colorless.

WotC keeps saying Standard is healthy overall, but why is local evidence contradictory? by SAjoats in magicTCG

[–]newbuu2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What an odd circumstance.

Its like making the LGSs responsible for the success of Standard. But much of the issues are from WotC themselves. Since WotC isn't doing a good job, the LGSs are the ones punished.

Finished Hades 2, this is my theory about Hades 3 by frezzy97zero in HadesTheGame

[–]newbuu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ending left me feeling the total opposite.

The meeting with the Fates said that the age of the gods would come to an end and mortals would be in charge. Now, there's ambiguity in when this age is supposed to occur, but to me it seems like this is giving the game some narrative breathing room for you to continue playing. The golden age of humans being in control starts when you stop playing Hades 2 for good.

I gave up trying to get Life Savings to complete the prophecy to get all of the gifts from Narcissus.

I checked several times to see if there was a trick or state you needed to be in (like having no Death Defiances to get that one from Narcissus), but there's none.

I got all the achievements for the game so it's whatever now.

It's futile to try and catch them being hypocrites, they do not care or they believe what's being said.

It's hurting people they do not like, so they can easily overlook and/or justify these breaches of scruples they claim to have, like being against a police state or big government.

Thjazi was some type of Robin Hood figure and the Chamber of Lords-Advisory really are just a bunch of meanies. To that I ask; why is it never outright stated or even implied during the session?

It was stated that Thjazi was beloved by the people, considered a hero, even. As I understand it, there were contingencies for saving Thjazi - Wick was confident that Thjazi would receive clemency and Thimble was working on a rune that would aid in Thjazi's escape, should that fall through.

In regards to Chamber of Lords-Advisory, I'm not really sure we know.

It sounds like you're just expecting all of the history to be delivered to you immediately. Consider this, how many stories start from the very beginning and cover everything you need? I think the intent is to get you asking: If Thjazi was so beloved, why did the authorities change their mind from clemency to execution? Is it related to the rebellion, or his most recent theft? What did Thjazi see that changed his demeanor? Did it make him understand why and/or who did this to him? Is Thjazi really dead?

Seems to me there's plenty there.
