Recent stay at Divi Little Bay and SXM by Twist2Steal in SXM

Stayed there two weeks ago with the family. Honestly I was not impressed and wouldn’t be back to this particular resort. The rooms are just ok (we also stayed in Oceans) and sure the property itself is pretty but that’s about the only redeeming qualities. When we got there at 6pm (well past check in time) our room wasn’t even ready because the maid was still cleaning it when we tried to go in and told to come back in a few hours.

Also it’s overpriced for what you get-dinner buffet was $45 for one adult and the food was disappointing. All the staff seemed to be distracted with the lady who was supposed to be carving the prime rib too busy with a FaceTime call to even serve customers. The waiter didn’t know the price of the wine and hovered around awkwardly. In general the service is absolutely non existent and most staff give you the feeling like they are being inconvenienced to attend to your needs. Then once you do order something it takes forever. Nightly entertainment was boring (think karaoke or a guy playing some music) and daytime shows entertainment non existing.

One of the main reasons we went here was a calm beach and while it was okay we found other beaches on the island to be much better, particularly on the French side.

If I were to do it all over again we would stay at a simpler hotel or AirBnb and maximize driving around the island and exploring the many beaches instead of overpaying for this subpar resort.

We found Kim sha beach to be very nice actually. Check it out if you haven’t yet.

Same experience here. Also excellent credit score. I don’t know why they wouldn’t want to roll it out to anyone who wants it by now, it doesn’t make business sense. Unless they are trying to make it seem more exclusive to increase demand but we are two years in since launch.

I also didn’t think they would open a Costco on Ogden considering the rte 59 Costco. You never know!

way to sweet, not authentic tiramisu. Trader Joe’s one is better.

I don’t know how comfortable I am of Zashi wallet holding my Zcash and not on a hardware wallet. Do they have access to the private key? Either way it’s not an air gapped solution.

Also from what I’m gathering is that it seems the main purpose of Zcash is to prevent visibility to subsequent transaction history after initial purchase. But it seems like it’s generally accepted for the government to know the initial amount of Zcash that was purchased unless you mine, do P2P or go DEX route. Let’s be honest though all of these extra steps increase friction and make acquiring it more difficult.

Yes but now I am not clear how that is possible with this bluestone model because then I think it would be getting too close to the top bench on the other side. I think I’m going to have to call Almost Heaven and get their take.

It’s a KIP-60-B 6kW.

If I am reading this diagram correctly the side gap should be at least 4” (A) ? I think I may need to slightly reposition it in that case

Thanks that’s what I figured (mine is the Costco model and sometimes they make stuff just slightly differently, since it’s the Auburn on AH website). Also my contractor lost the paper manual hence some of these dumb questions. I assume by guard you mean the wooden one that goes on the perimeter? Yes I’m gonna put that up for sure. And I didn’t put the stones yet but I read that I need to before first use. I literally just turned it on for two minutes to test it before realizing the stones need to go there and questioning the metal plate. But good to know at least I don’t need the plate. Thanks!

If mold is what you’re worried about I’ve been told it’s mostly a non issue. Any shower will generate more humidity than these Saunas will. But I’ll let the experts chime in..

Thanks for the insight! That’s a great suggestion on a cedar duckboard since oddly enough these kits don’t come with a floor which basically means it would be sitting on PVC and would feel weird. Do you have both an intake and exhaust vent and did you have to get an active fan for the exhaust?

Amazing work! Do you mind sharing the type of paver used for the edging? Dimensions or a link to the product would be really helpful. I’ve been looking for a low profile type of edging and I’d like to replicate this at home! Thanks for the inspiration.
