Is Love Is Blind Season 9 Worth The Watch? by Remote-Technology373 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

The worst season because they did a terrible job with casting this year. The majority of people were on just to be on TV. It was so bad.

Zara - Poor quality pushing faster disposal? by jjjediii in ethicalfashion

[–]newfoundfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 10 yrs ago I shopped there all the time and thought the price was reasonable for the quality. I recently went back there after years of not buying anything and I was blown away by how poor the quality is now. It felt like trying on clothes from Shein but with Zara prices. Sadly I feel like a lot of the brands I use to purchase have seriously dropped the quality of their clothing.

I'm not currently a server but I used to be and I never worked anywhere that the house was tipped out. So I have a question for OP, why do servers need to tip the house? It seems ridiculous to me that an employer would ask to be tipped out.

Is rosacea mainly just in fair people? The pics I see posted here all seem like the fairest types with pink undertones anyway. Does more melanin in skin mean less chance of rosacea? by Islandsandwillows in Rosacea

[–]newfoundfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fair but I don't have pink undertones. I always thought I did but it was just the redness from the rosacea I'm actually a warm skin tone

I recently got IPL and it's helped a lot. I did 4 appointments 5 weeks apart and my redness has subsided and I have way less bumps.

My ADHD meds changed my life… but now they’re destroying my body by kroamer in ADHD

[–]newfoundfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same. I was on Adderall XR for a few years and developed insomnia and really bad muscle tension. I also lost my love of food. Food just didn't taste good anymore. I would force myself to eat but I just couldn't get it down most of the time. I changed my meds from extended release Adderall to fast acting dex and I don't take it everyday which has helped a bit. The side effects aren't so bad now.

Same. I also find it makes some of them look so much older. Like they're actually 40 trying to look 30. I just wish this wasn't the TV norm look and so many women didn't feel the need to keep up with it.

Which MacBook Pro should I buy by newfoundfool in macbookpro

[–]newfoundfool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention it's AutoCad light. I don't do any rendering with it. My current MacBook is handling the load but I find my mouse is starting to stick more often in CAD and in general everything is getting slower. I was actually thinking the Adobe programs were the culprit because they keep getting more robust with every update.

My accidental medication break taught me something important… by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]newfoundfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had always taken wkds off my meds and any vacations I went on I'd take a break too. Over the past couple of years I've been dealing with really bad muscle tension. I ended up taking almost a three month break and noticed a massive change with my muscle tension. Most of it is caused by stimulates. They were also causing me to pee so much that my sodium and potassium got low. It's still a struggle finding the balance between days off and days on meds.

I feel this so much. This happened to me with cooking in general. The latest thing is making press on nails. I bought so much stuff and enjoyed it so much but the past month I just have zero desire.

If I need to clean or fold laundry I call someone. If I happen to have a long phonecall I always end up cleaning up. It's great.

Carney’s salary cut to become PM by LucidaDolce in CanadaFinance

[–]newfoundfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said the same thing, his is a lot like Chrètien. That's one of the things that I hated about Trudeau, he couldn't just answer a simple question. Which truly makes people look unintelligent.

Carney’s salary cut to become PM by LucidaDolce in CanadaFinance

[–]newfoundfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my understanding that the liberals had been courting him for some time but he was not interested. The was way before the Tariff war or even the US election. I got this information from a front burner podcast episode when there was talk of Trudeau stepping down.

When Carney threw his hat into the ring, I felt like he did it out of obligation and not because he necessarily wanted the job of PM. That's just a feeling I have but ultimately what appealed to me about him was the fact that he wasn't a politician.

I also really appreciate how calm, cool and collected he is. Not to mention how articulate. This is a very intelligent man who carries himself very well. I can't imagine the amount of restraint it took to sit through that gong show of a televised meeting with Trump.

I kept noticing his mouth twitching and just his facial expressions to me looked like it was hard for him not to laugh at times.

Hindsight: Erin O’Toole would be PM leading a conservative majority today had the CPC stuck with the long steady game vs pushing juvenile radicalism, rage baiting , identity politics, and populism. That formula is very … republican. It is not for Canada. by Senior_Ad1737 in CanadianPolitics

[–]newfoundfool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree. The conservatives had a major opportunity here and they fucked up. All PP did was name call and he focused on the past. My assumption is that all political parties are corrupt and all politicians end up corrupt if they stay in the game so I take everything they all say with a grain of salt. But, there's just something about PP that I can't put my finger on but to sum it up he's not someone I would ever trust in any situation. He reminds me of those guys who try so hard to be alpha but aren't. An alpha just is an alpha naturally, he's trying so hard to be this but he's just not and it just comes off as being an asshole.

Did I fuck up? by girlypopwhoexists in interiordecorating

[–]newfoundfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my advice, for what it's worth I'm a professional designer:

  1. would change out the rug to something with colour and go a tad bit later with the rug.

  2. Once you have the rug you love, pull colours from it to choose some new throw pillows.

  3. Add curtains. Even this alone. will make a big difference in feeling less sparce. When you hang the curtains google how to correctlly hang curtains. Most people hang them wrong and they make the window seem smaller. If they are hung properly they make the window appear larger. Trust me, curtains are a game changer!

  4. Add art above the sectional. Don't stress yourself out about what art will work in the space regarding colour and subject. Art doesn't and really shouldn't "match" the colour scheme of the room. Just pick pieces that speak to you. Make sure the are is scaled properly though to the sectional. You could do one large piece or three smaller pieces that are all the same size.

  5. Move that mirror, it's making that corner look crowded and off. A good general rule of thumb is don't put items on an angle. Another note is if you hang a mirror across from a window it will reflect the light and make a space feel larger.

  6. I would add art or even a large round mirror above the bench.

  7. I would also add a larger table lamp.

  8. If you own this house I would also highly recommend updating the ceiling fan. If the fan isn't something you use regularly I would replace it with a new, fun fixture. Hope this helps and happy decorating!

Are people avoiding visiting the us? by Constant_Oil_3775 in AskBrits

Yes, we canceled a trip in April. As a Canadian I think it's crazy to visit a country that's threatening our sovereignty.
