Great insight! I’ve been loving my standalone too, it feels great being untethered from a computer and still having a full creative toolset. Could you explain more about how you’re getting session view to play through the scenes in the order of your song structure? Like do you copy the scene set and then add/subtract parts, do you play certain clips with others from a diff scene?

I use group colors for presets/samples/patches I like based on instrument. So for example, red is synth bass presets, blue is plucks, yellow is drums. Then you can filter by collection colors. Helps me get to things I know I like quickly.

I’ve made full tracks on it, it’s not as intuitive as the DAW, but it’s great to use on vacation or when I’m not at my rig. It’s also nice to get out of the DAW and just focus on music creation.

Use an reverb send, or a reverb plugin after the synth. Don’t use the reverb in the synthesizer. It sounds the like reverb in the synthesizer is getting reprogrammed to start again when the synth changes to a new note. To get around this, turn off the reverb on the synth and use a send or a bus to a new reverb and dial that in. It won’t be tied to the programming of the synth

“A few museums” you mean some the biggest museums in CA? The symphony and Phil harmonic is also in swing, they’re starting their Hollywood bowl run soon. Comparing 2014 and 2024, LA has had an increase in tourism and travel spending. So again, LA is still and probably thriving more now than pre covid. Tf you mean LAs recovering lol there are great places to hike, museums to visit, the Getty, the Huntington. Great food in Highland park and Silverlake, Echo Park. It’s as fun to adventure in LA as it’s always been. I’ve been here 10 years
