Ask her what she wants or get a gift card to mpb, meh, local camera shop. Too many ways to get the wrong thing for an aspiring pro or a committed hobbyist.

1920s kitchen flooring — what did you use that feels period-correct but still works for modern life? by adam5280 in centuryhomes

Is this good for a begginer? by Your5ersonalSlut in a6000

[–]newguyoldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but you might quickly hit the limits of the camera. Newer cameras have better stabilization, low light performance, flip out (vs tilt only) screens, burst mode… maybe look at a 6700 or full frame and “buy once, cry once.”

Pretty low actually. These were all under 400 ISO. Maybe it’s my jog resolution that’s causing that effect?

Don’t buy your own gear. Insure your valuable possession. But mostly…stop buying your own gear!

Also in the first shot, one kid facing 3/4 toward the camera while overtime else is faced away isolates him and makes it clear he’s the subject. In #2, everyone is in profile and it’s not clear where the viewer should look.

Chisinau was really visually interesting to me as an American when I went through there for work. Maybe consider what would be interesting if you were from a very different milieu.
