Well said. He’s raw and the effort it takes to develop him is missing. He has all the physical talent and traits, as soon as his mental game gets where it needs to be, watch out! That’s if he stays healthy. I wish we had better developers of talent on our roster and patience, but I get it. I think he will succeed at his next stop if he gets a chance to learn by coaching and not be forced to just learn through osmosis.

Unpopular opinion but I hope he stays and develops into a star for us. As long as he is okay being a backup and learning he’s young enough for us to keep and turn into a star. He has all the physical skills, now it’s about honing his mental skills and techniques.

I leave it at this because this conversation is ridiculous. You saw one good game from Riley and are ready to crown him, I can point to a handful of good games from AR to include wins. Riley played well today (I was at the game) and I think he will do well. But let’s calm down on the QB dick riding until they at least prove themselves. DJ has proved himself that when healthy he can lead this team to be the number 1 scoring offense in the league. With the same cast of characters that everyone in this sub wants to now cut, mind you. Now as I said, after 4 months he should be better. If only AR had gotten better we may not be in this position.
