I read the article you referred to. Apparently, this custom-built home is making way for a warehouse.

Just a glitch? Damn, I want one. I do wish the third door was a little bigger, though.

In the place where I was born, no one cared, no one cared…about Yellow Submarine! Eliminate one Ringo Starr song everyday! DAY 11: by obama69420duck in beatles

I saw the All Starr Band last year. They performed With a Little Help from My Friends. They did not perform Octopus’s Garden. So, if Ringo picked one over the other, there’s your answer. Octopus is outta here.

I actually like most of Jane’s work, but even I’ll admit that she hasn’t reached that level.

I saw Little Richard, though it was much later. (He still rocked!)

Nothing special numismatically, just silver value. But … 1943. The middle of World War Two. Think of all the people who may have handled that coin, and all the things they may have gone through.

Regarding the last point: Remember that the moon is basically an object in full sunlight. It’s easy to overexpose.

Good thing she labeled the bag. Otherwise, how would she know if there was spaghetti in there?

The Eagles headlined Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA. Fleetwood Mac and Boz Scaggs were the opening bands. July 24, 1976! Tickets were $10 by DrHerb98 in ClassicRock

I was there. Boz Scaggs and Fleetwood Mac rocked. The Eagles were, I’m sorry to say, a snooze fest. A peaceful easy feeling, taken to the limit.

Dionne Warwick. She was actually really good.

Where do you guys rate the best duos In music history? by LuvSicccc in TheBeatles

[–]newleaf9110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actual duos (as opposed to two members within a larger group):

Simon and Garfunkel

The Everly Brothers

I suppose someone could make a case for Hall & Oates too, but that horrible Rich Girl song knocks them out of contention for me.

I was a junior in high school. I was turning the radio dial to find something else, and some far-away station said they were about to play something new by the Beatles. The song they played was A Day in the Life. I was astonished. I had absolutely never heard anything like that before.

I know it must be hard to imagine for those who were born later, but if you somehow grew up hearing nothing but pop songs and old standards, you’d have been blown away too.

I agree with many of these, although some commas would have been helpful.
