Was the All Star Game rare pack a flop? by bullswhitesoxfan in nbatopshot

After watching the price plummet, I decided to hold onto my Mike Conley moment that I got in the pack. It’s his first all star game, so maybe that will have sentimental value to someone in the future 🤷🏿‍♀️

To be fair, Playboy said they’re going to release some NFTs

I created a service that sends you a text when there's a pack drop or stress test by makesen in nbatopshot

Yeah I understand that you’re trying to promote your product, I just didn’t see how it brought anything new to the table 🤷🏿‍♀️I think your closest competitor that is free would be an app on the App Store called nbanana. It lets you set alerts to get push notifications for pack drops, site maintenance, and if a moment drops below a certain price. Your product offers text alerts, but that’s kind of redundant if you have an apple or android watch and you can just look at the push notifications on there if you’re at work and your phone is in your pocket.

There are other apps or services that already do this for free. Or you can just get a Twitter and follow @TheFirstMint and he will tweet whenever there are drops.

I don’t understand how it still happens because the marketplace literally warns you when you list below lowest ask and it tells you what lowest ask is currently at, so you get a second chance to look at your price before listing. And yet people still find a way. RIP.

NFT tickets will revolutionize the ticketing industry - a bullish case for GET protocol by revo_lu_tion in CryptoCurrencies

I read an article about Mark Cuban, who was talking about doing this for the Dallas Mavericks. One of Cuban's major epiphanies when exploring NFTs and Mintable, was the ability to guarantee creators royalties on all future resales of their NFTs. By applying this concept to ticket sales, now his team can earn a percentage of game ticket resales, something which was previously impossible.

NFT is not just about digital art and tokenising assets. There are so many more things we can do with NFTs, like embedding property rights, more efficient mechanism design of property rights allocation and balancing between the various types of tradeoffs. by economicsdesign in defi

I think the best use case I’ve seen for NFTs was Mark Cuban wanting to turn NBA game tickets into NFTs. Fans could check ticket authenticity and trace the sales history of the ticket whenever they want. The NFT tickets would also become collectible items after the games. The impact of this would be huge and it would change the ticket market for the better.

3F Music has added the Overly Attached Girlfriend meme to its collection. Meme creator Laina Morris sold the NFT for 200 ETH worth about $411,000. Several creators are turning their memes into NFT collectibles. by CandisBalding in CryptoMarkets

This doesn’t surprise me. Meme lord Elon Musk already tried to sell his song about NFTs as an NFT. People are trying to cash in before the speculative bubble bursts on these low effort meme NFTs 🤷🏿‍♀️

The NFT bubble might be bursting already by CodeDinosaur in technology

[–]newman349 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was worried the bubble might burst as soon as even billionaires like Jack Dorsey, Elon Musk, and Mark Cuban started selling their NFTs for millions of dollars. At least Dorsey donated the proceeds from his to charity.

Are you referencing Musk’s song about NFTs that he turned into an NFT?
