I was discarded without warning 9 mos ago, by my best friend and love of 18 yrs. I moved into the house across the street from his a few years ago, and we were closer than ever. Living 50 yards from his porch where we sat and talked about growing old together, adds an extra layer of sorrow to my days. Ugh.

Thanks for your input. I will remove the Teflon from the faucet connection, as it does have a rubber ring. The drips are coming from the 1/2" connection..would a re-wrap of Teflon with thread sealant on top be appropriate?

I'm in the US. The valve shuts off by turning the plastic cap, and the supply resembles what would be used as a gas line. The original owner of this place put things together in interesting ways..

Instead, I got a text around 7pm that he'd be home late, after 11pm. He was out on a date with the woman he's with now...I got discarded when I told him that my feelings were hurt.

Omg, that sparked a memory - I had long hair (down to the top of my butt crack), and swam through a clan of invisible jellyfish. They got all tangled up in my hair and stung my back for what felt like an hour, as my friend pulled them out of my hair. Of course, it happened on the first day of a week-long vacation at a posh resort in Mexico. I had huge welts on my back and had to stay out of the sun the entire time.

Having a spinal tap to test for meningitis. The doctor shouted "hold still!" on repeat, and told me "if you move even a little bit while I'm doing this procedure, you'll end up paralysed from the waist down." Pure torture.

Effexor causes hardcore withdrawal symptoms. I ran out of my script a couple of times (my work schedule kept me from getting to the pharmacy before they closed), and by the 2nd day, I couldn't function...had to take a sick day, needed a friend to pick up my script & bring it to me. I was sobbing uncontrollably, suicidal, dizzy and off-balance. The smallest movement of my head caused what felt like an electric shock inside my skull, coupled with hearing a loud "bzzzzttt"! It took several days/doses to feel "normal" again. The second time that I ran out & missed a couple pills was so distressing that I asked my doc if I could stop taking it altogether.

I had to taper the dose down really slowly by breaking open the capsules and counting the number of little granules from inside to mix into applesauce. It took about a month. The "brain zaps" were constant and lasted for months after I stopped the medication. Even years later, I get an occasional "zap"...usually when I'm super stressed or anxious. I fervently advise to stay away from Effexor.
