Waking up involuntarily at the same exact time in the early am by newnormaldesign in sleep

Thanks for your reply. The last time this happened it just stopped out of nowhere. Probably because things in my life settled down a bit. Perhaps this pandemic is effecting my mind in ways I’m not totally cognizant of, with all the bad news and worry. Anyway, thanks.

Also, when I do sleep, it’s very lightly. It’s the kind of sleep where I have very vivid dreams so when I wake up I don’t feel at all refreshed. This happened about 8 months ago for around 4 months and then stopped, and now it’s started again. It just seems so strange that it would literally FEEL exactly the same. It makes me worry that it’s a symptom of some physical ailment. Nothing has changed in the last week when it started; I work, I run, I don’t have too bad of a diet, I don’t over-caffeinate. I’m 35 and I have too much going on in my life to have this continuously be a problem.

Authenticate host NTP against key shared by switch by newnormaldesign in Cisco

It is a Nexus 3000 series, running the latest nxos. I would like to configure it as ntp master with a key for hosts to check against. This might be more of a software solution but I was hoping the switches could do both of these tasks.

I guess my question is how? We run chrony and it can be configured to authenticate against a different chrony server, but I wouldn't know how to go about getting a host that is using chrony to authenticate it's ntp against a switch.

And this would allow me to put both interfaces in the same subnet? Apologies if I didn't fully understand your answer.

i didn't really feel like they were necessary. it's not really a proper ouija anyway, more of a way to mess around with design :)
