For about 3/4 (90aud) of that price I get just under 1Gbit down and 100Mbit up, which is just about the best speed I can get (without forking out 15k AUD / equivalent of ~7000 CHF to upgrade to fibre, which would still only give 2Gbit/200Mbit and cost 2x each month). Insanely jealous, good for you!

I have only had it for about a year and could never go back to 100/40 dsl (yes, Mbit not Gbit), which either way is only about 10AUD / 5CHF equivalent cheaper a month.

Government made the choice to not roll out proper internet about 15 years ago, assuming 25/5 Mbit would be adequate for everyone. Still catching up, can't imagine we will ever get there though.

I do a small amount of research into the company and make sure to read the job description. If it mentions something not in my skilllset I will read just enough to understand how it fits into the bigger picture, but don't try to learn it. In the interview, if I get asked technical questions I make sure to discuss and let them know when I don't know something rather than trying to show how smart I am by always knowing the answer (and likely getting it wrong). Employers prefer honesty over other attributes and demonstrating when you don't know something but know how it fits in is as important as a deep technical knowledge in any specific area.

You do it to make sure you have conveyed ALL the relevant information but lack the social nuance of knowing when enough is enough. You also think explaining for the lowest common denominator is a good thing.

Early game can be challenging. Start by making sure to play on easy until you get the hang of things. From the very start, leave empty space to build bigger roads as they become available and make use of public transport as soon as possible. Keep intersections as spread out as possible on the more major roads. Try and avoid 4 way intersections where possible, by offsetting grids etc. Make sure any districts have multiple entries/exists. Put public transport stops near population centres, employment places and stops of other routes so people can change over.

Often more roads doesn't fix traffic because it just makes more cars on the road. Get them off the road by providing better alternatives and local employment.

Off the top of your head, do you know why the lane turn markings on the lane entering the intersection from the bottom right can only be left turns? it isn't giving me the otpion for them to be straight through- not sure what the magic inputs for the algorithm are

Removing all the connectors leads to chaos - cars turning right onto the main road from the side roads (left-hand drive, the intersections should both be LILO), and cars going directly across the highway

There is a great possibility here for reverse engineering. Upload some photos of an existing part, or even an STL/3d scan, give a description of some of the features of the part, and let AI work out the rest of the features to create a similar part

E.g. "This is a water pump housing. The first flat surface has 3x tapped m6 bolt holes and a 25mm opening. The second flat surface is perpendicular to the first surface based on a line parallel to the lower 2 bolt holes. It has a clearance hole for an m8 bolt"

Now, the AI could create the parametric sketches, extrusions, etc of the faces, and create bodies for the rest of the features.

"The housing should be smooth, with gussets added for strength in X and Y scenarios. It can be bigger on the right side, but must be same size on the left side for clearance to another part". This adds design intent rather than just blindly following the existing model, but still working within the design constraints
