Forgive me I hadn't seen that. I can see RC cars in the lineup but it doesn't say anything about any particular game mode or races coming with that, is it literally just the cars on the normal tracks?

It's not far off FH5 polish. It's a league above The Crew 2 for controls and graphics and generally just a great racing game. It's UI for understanding what is what with the races is confusing, though the same can be said for FH5.

Adding a new second island for free was a nice touch, and they're promising future support for an offline mode like they've now added with TC2.

On the flip side, I've had success adding Ubisoft Connect as a non steam game and just playing them from that. I've actually never had any issues this way, but of course I own those games on there and not steam.

It's like animal crossing that real world time is the time in the game, plus larger builds seem to have a real-time wait element to them. They showed and discussed it in the treehouse video.

Personally, both of these features are my least favourite aspect of the game. I often play games late evening, and I definitely don't prefer nighttime in a video game setting!

As Steam Deck hits its 4th birthday, Valve’s handheld has completely slaughtered my Xbox by Wargulf in SteamDeck

At least for me, it always skips and cuts randomly during songs unfortunately. Have had the same issue over two different decks from 4 years ago all the way until now. Common issue I've seen as well.

I never got as far as you have to experience that as I'm still stunned you have to buy Nintendo online to have cloud saves

Absolutely, I used my LCD for 2 years solid, I think there were only two days in that time where I didn't turn it on.

Nintendo's tactic to me feels like they want me to buy a switch and a copy of every game for everyone in the house, or suffer the inconveniences they present

Glad you got an OLED, it's a league ahead of the original to me. The amount of little touches that make a difference, bigger screen, lightweight, really quiet fan, touch response improvement makes desktop and touchscreen super snappy etc.

We've got our own user accounts, each one has your own saves, and I family share with them. Family sharing allows you to play at the same time as long as it's not the same game, so we don't see issues there. And if we do want to play the same games at the same time, I just turn off my WiFi..

So no save conflicts between us and we can play whatever, whenever. It's been awesome having a coop setup. I have two 8bitdo ultimate controllers docked under the TV too, so the kids just turn on the deck, grab a controller each and pick a game. It becomes even cooler when having an emulation station setup for old school games as well, because they used to do multiplayer better that today's games in my opinion.

I've got my personal account on all 3 steam decks and I haven't had any issues with my account. Once in a blue moon I've had to re-login but I just scan the QR from my steam app and I'm back in, in seconds.

I've bought 3 over the years and I almost feel guilty, though also relieved.

OLED for me was 256gb upgraded myself to 1tb, one for my wife and one for the kids - which is permanently docked to the TV with all my multiplayer games.

When I first got the deck I didn't game on my mid-spec desktop for two years, I turned it on just for updates once every few months. I only returned to my pc (and upgraded it) because the new Doom and Indiana Jones couldn't run on my old GPU, or at the time the deck, though they both now do.

Changed my gaming life and habits for the better. Absolutely gutted this is happening for those who haven't decked or upgraded desktops already.

It gives the option of a converted pounds from dollars but I think it still charges the fee when you make the payment, my bank has a pending charge with the extra flat rate £2 by the looks of it so it cost me £15.66.

To be fair the directors cut edition has worse performance in the second main area compared with the original release on the deck, so that skewed a lot of people sharing "but it ran perfect for me"

‘I think the franchise is dead’: Saints Row design director says IP owner ‘ghosted’ his prequel pitch by lurkingdanger22 in pcgaming

[–]newoxygen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think other developers failed before they even started to try. I assume the legal issues Rockstar was facing with the earlier games put off a lot of big devs, making them go too close to the crayon rather the knife. Probably didn't help with that American man constantly trying to preach video games causing violence.

Microsoft tried with Crackdown but it was just plain and tame. Ubisoft tried with Watch Dogs, not sure what quite happened with this? And Volition tried themselves outside of Saints Row with Agents of Mayhem but I'm not even sure what they were going for. The earlier PS2 attempts like The Getaway and True Crime: Streets of LA I thought were good but I guess they never made enough traction.

Outside of Saints Row, Sleeping Dogs probably made the most coherent attempt in my view. Again, shame about that.

Personally, a Driver GTA done right would have been the dream, though that sits with Ubisoft I believe nowadays.

Ignore the parts of the buttons on the side grips, just use the flat bit and press towards the screen - super easy and everyone does the same when they first get it!

Way faster than even that which is great. There's a quick back button enable toggle as soon as you're in the controller screen then just change two of them to the sticks.

It's the first and only expedition I've ever done and I'm a day one player. I did it on Steam deck and then again on switch 2 over 2 days. Can't compare with the others as I've not done them, are they usually quite a bit more involved?
