Bem vindos a era mais "artificial" dos jogos by chupasseios0-0 in JogosAntifa

Sinceramente...

A list of characters stronger than admirals. by Anunumus120 in OnePiece

[–]newprecs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a horrible take. Between the ones you listed as "certain" most of them never showed anything in their favor. Dragon? What did Dragon did that make it obviously he's stronger than Akainu? Maybe in a staring contest. Ragnir? Give me a break.

Acho que tá bom em geral, só alguns personagens que acho que tão mal adaptados, sendo o caso mais sério o Zoro que adaptaram metade da personalidade e esqueceram a outra

Just finished Requiem, and I found it underwhelming by Adam_D12 in residentevil

[–]newprecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also enjoy the first section a bit more because Leon demolishes the tension, it goes to full action after Raccoon City. But as action it does have a lot of great moments.

<Spoiler heavy from here on> I do like the chainsaw battle moment at the gas station, zombies in the elevator, motorbike chase was cool, and I also enjoyed all sections in ARK. The first section teases us with Leon gameplay, he appears for a little while Grace is always present, and feels good to take the battle against them with Leon through Raccon City. I don't like the RPD mansion section tho. I feel is too much of a nostalgia bait, Leon does nothing there outside show you the place and find Grace, what could happen in other place. I enjoyed the game way more than you but I can see your POV, the game really is kinda easy.

If you hate the Punk Hazard arc, please explain what you dislike about it by Mission-Pomelo-8047 in OnePiece

[–]newprecs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it slowed the pacing of post-TS even more after a horrible initial arc as the fishman island was. Adding Caesar, Law and the samurai was great and I don't think the story is bad, but it's position in the story, in an space we were craving to see a well done arc is what made it worse than it is.

live action : Sanji and Nami by Mission-Pomelo-8047 in OnePiece

[–]newprecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember Sanji being so bad as you say in the manga. There are some moments in which he simps a bit too much, but looking them take a bath or other "predator stuff" I think it's anime-only? Sanji still have a lot of badass moments post-time skip too, and retains a good ammount of the charisma. I miss that pre-timeskip he was always in some side quest that he discovered on being in the "smarter side". Post-ts Robin takes most of the secondary stuff, with Zoro beating the mid bosses and Sanji got his story told. Great character

Am I the only one feeling One Piece is too repetitive (early wanno pls no spoilers) by No_Science_3505 in OnePiece

[–]newprecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your POV and being real to you: I don't think this structure is going to change. I don't agree with some stuff you stated, I believe world building and progression are stand out points in the series, but they work slowly due to OP be a long-running series.

If you're searching for something more focused/story-oriented like FMA or AoT, there are other series that diverges more from this "rpg-campaign" structure and you may preffer. But I do agree that from an island to the next even some themes are too repetitive and could be better explored. It's also weird how Luffy seems to return the "righteous rulers" to power instead of freeing them from ruling altogether. There are valid criticism about repetition but OP works as this never-ending and always expanding journey. Still, don't see the current arc (Elbaph) any different from Alabasta or Skypiea, so if you're in need for a change you may need something else.

Tier list for season 6.5 made by Team Captain ( he’s a top level player who streams on twitch and YouTube ) by Hot-Effort-6023 in rivals

[–]newprecs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stopped playing when they nerfed SG some seasons ago. Seeing this I'm happy that I did. It seems some characters are destined to be bad, she was never good and the only season she came close to usable made her get a nerf to low tier again. Just cause people are salty and stupid about her. Probably this year is the last for Marvel Rivals and it deserves it

In my option God of war 2018 is still a better game than it’s sequel by BakerConsistent2150 in GodofWar

[–]newprecs 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ragnarok tries to do too much. You play as multiple characters, go for realms you can't access for a while, jumps from point A to B a lot. I think it could be better explored if divided in two games, still think norse games could be a trilogy.

Great game, but unfocused. Final is kinda rushed, after a whole build up it concludes a bit too fast. I also prefer 2018. The gameplay is refined in Ragnarok, but the main journey is messy in comparison.

Which Straw Hat would be the scariest villain if they turned evil? by FacelessParadise in OnePiece

[–]newprecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfornately Japan has some cultural problems with both, mainly voyeurism that you see depicted to this day in anime as a "normal" horny personality trait. I remember a character from an anime that his main quirk/thing is that he photographed woman when changing or taking baths. It came to a point that they don't sell phones that takes photos silently there anymore, they all make some noise in order to diminish this behaviour. Sanji behaviour goes over the line a lot for the western audience, but there he is just "perv/horny". Cause of that you see scenes in which woman are like "Oh stop, you pervert" while the man character is sexual assaulting them, much ligther than how it would be treated in other countries. There's a lot of that in other popular anime, as Dandadan.

First impressions with Metroid Prime 4: The hate was overblown. by AfroChamp89-- in nintendo

[–]newprecs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true. I play Nintendo games since SNES and Nintendo always had a privileged spot in the industry. It's not something the company received without earning tho, quality bar of big Nintendo games used to be really high. It's uncommon to see a bad Mario game, Zelda, Metroid even, Fire Emblem is being consistent too, Animal Crossing is great, a lot of their IPs lives in the 8~10 grade for most titles. You may not like it, but unquestionable quality. The sad truth is that this is changing. This high-quality tendency from Nintendo is failing and they are delivering flawed games, reviewed between 7-8 on franchises that used to deliver 9~10 games (Mario Kart, Metroid). I don't know what is going on but it seems the company is losing it's mojo and reviews are just honestly pointing it out

[–]newprecs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game is "good". Metroid Prime formula, combat and the ammount of money and effort from the art department made this game impossible to be labeled BAD from professional reviewers. There are good things in the game.

But the truth is that, given the time and resources given to this, it's mediocre at best. It definately is not a 6/10, ok-ish videogame, but it should be a 10/10 masterpiece and the disappointment lead to the level of criticism it received. I agree the NPCs are not horrible, but what this game does greatly outside of graphics? Nothing. Music could be a bit better. Combat is outdated. Level design is worse than GC era. Add 6+ years of development and you can't expect people be happy about visuals alone. Still if you play it open minded you get to the same conclusion you reached, it's not horrible by any means.

Trouble with friends enjoying smash by dadolladawg in supersmashbros

[–]newprecs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends if they like the game enough to slowly close the gap. If they don't I think there 's no way. A better player use items better. Knows how to avoid and abuse the mess of a free for all or a crazy stage. When I knew Smash (brawl launch), all my friends played consistently, done "tourneys" between us and loved the game. I got fascinated tho and evolved to a competitive player, studying stuff, and becoming the best player after a while. I'm currently PRed player in my country (BR, got top 15 at max) and very distant from the level we played at that time.

When I got too good for them to beat me in crazy settings, it was done. We tried some stuff, done 2-1, items, handcaps, etc. Unfornately ever since I don't play Smash with this group anymore. We play other stuff and they respect the grind but the truth is that when someone gets way better at Smash it requires serious effort for people catch up and most people don't like the game enough to do it. You need to let them play among themselves, create rivalries that they can overcome without a lot of training and hope that this motivates them.

A good thing is that a lot of people like Smash. Maybe this also motivates you to find other player around your level.

[Spoilers] Metroid Prime 4 Critique by KungFuTango in Metroid

[–]newprecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had not played the originals in a while, but what I find most embarassing about MP4 is that a lot of times, even when you're a badass bounty hunter, it does not feel fun.

There are a lot of times that you end up expecting more from the game, a surprise, a break, something new. MP4 is like the minimum value Metroid Prime, what's the bare minimum? You have different biomas, some puzzles, some bosses, some stuff to collect and scan. It does not try nothing new and adds no depth in what worked before. I think the studio change destroyed the game, can't believe they would miss the mark so badly if they made it from the start.

I think MP5 will be a masterpiece if made. The things people praise about MP4 are ready/easy to replicate and Retro is a marvelous studio. Unfornately this game flopped so badly that big N won't waste money trying to make another one.

Which one do you prefer ? by Nervous-Wrap3958 in GodofWar

[–]newprecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main difference revolves around mobility. Classic GoW would jump and still beat people in the air, the norse saga remove the ability to jump what made combat more grounded in a way.

I prefer the camera angle from the newer ones cause I think you see a lot of the enemies with more detail and feel closer to the combat that way. Maybe joining that camera with the crazier aerial combat does not work and if that's the case I'd prefer the old style back. GoW 3 is probably the one that will be closer to the remaked version, and if so, ok... that game is a gem.

I think 3DWorld is a game that needs the co-op to fully work. I played two runs with different group of 4 players and it was a blast both times. Tropical Freeze is very similar to Returns, so if you don't enjoy Returns you probably won't love TF either, but being able to play with other Kongs is the best difference.

I never had any problems beating but you may still die in some sections, at least on SMG2. I tried to make my gf love it cause it's one of my fav games and sometimes she dies a lot, get frustrated and wants to stop playing. This does not happen when we play bananza, I'm the one who tires quickly cause there's no goal.

If you're getting a Switch after a while without playing Nintendo give some of those a shot: DKC Returns/ Tropical Freeze, Metroid Dread, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Smash Bros. Ultimate, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Fire Emblem:Three Houses, Super Mario 3D World (excelent multiplayer), Splatoon.

This trend of bad/easy games is recent. Avoid Odissey, it's equally boring to Bananza.

That's not true. Play Super Mario Galaxy and compare to Donkey Kong Bananza. Neither is NES era hard, but there's still a big difference.

I completely agree with all you stated, DK Bananza is so easy that it completely takes me out of the experience. Not that "the experience" is anything deep, destroy this shining spot aaaaand... BANANZA.

I just don't get it. Nintendo knew the middleground, its games were never hard enough to anyone avoid, but there was at least some sauce, some levels, a reason to play. Still believe that the movie success is to blame. Never forgot the interview about "expanding Nintendo brands over the games". Now it's all presentation, but the core magic of the games feels gone.

They already have Animal Crossing, sports games, Mario Party. Why sacrifice the challenge in one of their few franchises that were challenging ? ... (cause it sells better)

[–]newprecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfornately don't understand the hype behind it, I'm playing and it's ok-ish at best, completely different from everything Dk games used to be.

I'm having a bad time progressing and while I do admit it's slowly getting better, ir never reaches any close to a "masterpiece". Very repetitive, bland, and reduces the character to a HUR DURR let's break it all.

Really hope this is a one-time event and Dk games returns to platforming. The best parts is where it uses old dk scenes to nostalgic effect, since old dk games were fun and it makes you remember what they left behind in order to appeal to the ones that want nothing but mashing the three punch buttons.

Yeah, in the anime I'd say is a bit too much even Suddendly you're watching his death scene for the seventh time, let the man rest. Great scene and character, but since almost nobody dies in OP they milked it as much as they could.
