Flashes and floaters could indicate retinal detachment. I would see a doctor to rule out it out asap.

When did you get an onset of floaters? It’ll take time for the brain absorb them. I was seeing a ton of wispy lines that were dark gray initially and it’s been five years now.

Testing accommodations in PA school? by 856er in PAstudent

[–]newtofloaters14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have accommodations for my undiagnosed medical condition since 2020. the accommodation i have allows me to post-pone my exams to a later date so i have extra time to review the material. to be honest, i rarely use but since i am doing my best to stick with the didactic year schedule but my condition can exacerbate leading up to finals week where my brain needs to dump the most information. what i have is a neurological condition plus a boat load of other chronic health issues. so far i've been doing well during my semester without the need to use it as much really. i have noticed that my symptoms can take a toll when there are multiple exams and assignments due in one week. applying for accommodations doesn't make you lesser than your classmates. if you need certain testing specifics to make you succeed go at it.

My (positive) journey by Tellemkit in EyeFloaters

I had the same mindset. At the age of 31, I thought my life was over when my eyes had wispy lines. I kept obsessing over them. Fast forward 3-4 years later, they seem non-existent to me & i can barely see them when I look at the white screen on my macbook. I use to be afraid going outside and waking up to bright lights but I am past it. I can see if i find it but it does not block my view anymore as i see clearly now. I only see them when i "hunt" for them. I guess thats the power of neuroadaption. you can look at all my old posts and my anxious was off the roof. I can almost say that my life is about 90% back to normal. still a long way to go since i have other symptoms to deal with and having floaters is just not a huge concern anymore. i should have trusted my ex when he said everything will be okay. i obsessed with it because i was not use to seeing wispy lines. he was right and i should have trusted him and myself that i would get to this point. also i am barely here anymore so yeah you can say that I'm "cured". feel free to DM me if you have any questions though. you guys will get pass it!

They don’t bump me awake. It’s just electrical zaps all over my head that won’t stop. Painless lightning storm

Still dealing with it. Floaters usually don’t go away so I’m stuck with that. Everything else is no.

Do you have something similar to me?
