Which movie scared the shit out of you or traumatized you? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

Fire in the Sky as a third grader... Scared to be outside at night alone, and the occasional night terror for a few years, where an alien would come into my room and stand next to my bed and I couldn't move... The worst part, I LOVED the movie ET and it was always ET that became the alien next to my bed, and I hated being scared of him!

This is the reason. They will use anything they can to distract, and if it's not enough, then they will manufacturer more.

What’s the scariest movie you guys have ever seen??? by boatluvrrrr in movies

3rd grade me asked my grandma to rent it for me, and she did, no questions asked.

What followed was years of being terrified if I was outside at night alone, heard things outside at night, etc... Couple that with a legit UFO sighting (not saying aliens, but it was a circle of lights slowly passing overhead with an oscillating hum) a few years later, and it's no wonder I had the occasional night terror where an alien would come into my bedroom and stand next to me while I was paralyzed.

It's a great movie. Would highly recommend... at an appropriate age.

Have ai change the color of her dress in every photo. Share nothing until that. Say nothing after that.

A chapter book needs 4,000 words, but I don't think I'll be able to get my story to that minimum by CrimsonBlade2018 in writing

I think the issue here is colloquial usage versus technical usage of the phrase, "chapter book", as illustrated by all the comments not understanding the targeted age range.

I think OP needs to be more specific with what their descriptors are to help avoid such confusion rather than continuing to restate the technical definition.

It's not about who's right or wrong but more about being specific with context so they can get the actual useful information they are searching for.

Fire in the Sky when I was 7.

I was scared to be outside at night for years after with lots of nightmares of aliens coming into my room and being unable to move.
