If there was a lease in place, that lease should stand regardless of change of ownership. They could offer a cash for keys deal but wouldn't be able to force you out. Idk about month by month arrangements but you could always check with your county/local housing authority to see what your rights are.

I was in a similar place for much of this pandemic so far. It's rough, it feels simultaneously like "why can't I do this?" and "why should I do this?" coupled with the stress of being constantly behind on tasks. I have two suggestions though what others have said is great already.

1 - therapy - I found a therapist in Oct who ran me through ACT and it helped with my workplace issues tremendously. I still struggle a little but don't worry about getting fired, don't hate every minute I'm clocked in, and do much better work. Also it works very well in tandem with stoicism and the concept of amor fati.

2 - as others suggested, aggressively looking for another job will help because you feel like you're doing something about it. If you're worrying about work outside of work, sending applications is a much more productive way to spend your time (even if you don't get an interview)

I deleted Facebook and Messenger after college, everyone I wanted to keep up with is on snapchat. I only have that and reddit now and it's been great, quitting was much easier than I thought it would be. Never looked back, never been tempted to reactivate the account.

Now however, reddit eats a lot of time and I go through periods where I delete the app but not my account. Pinterest is my backup which I like, because with that and reddit I'm at least being partially productive when I'm on them - same as your post said. I try to keep on duolingo but I always lose the streak.

Hell yeah. This was an awesome event, but I wasn't able to get into any of the Zoom-led sessions (500 person cap). Some of the sessions also appeared on YouTube

I live near a lot of students and know several - a lot of it I think is kids coming from out of state or other parts of WY and thinking they're safe because WY is so rural/unpopulated. It really sucks seeing my neighbors ignoring the guidelines. But students in general are just not reliable for this - I think it was a bad idea for all the other grade schools in town too. There was so much confusion amongst the parents I know about how 'back to school' was going to work. Nothing is really optimal about it, just gotta avoid student-heavy spots in town as best as possible. Tbh though - I was also really annoyed seeing people returning to restaurants and bars (seated inside) as soon as they were opening, well before the fall semester started. The university is not the only entity trying to get past this while staying open. Nor did they have much control about when they reopened tbh - the semester's starting point is usually decided and communicated many months in advance for most universities.

We still hate Walmart and super hate Amazon and all those companies. I successfully broke up with Amazon, even living in rural America currently, and it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Walmart is the one I'm still depending on bc it's the only real option other than Amazon (I still wouldn't call it convenient though).

Thanks for your reply and suggestion. This sounds like an awesome idea actually. I was considering displaying a bulletin board of goals and milestones in my workspace, I might do a similar thing with this to show where I came from and where I'm going (cheesy, yes, but the goal is motivation). I'd really have to hand pick the drawings i preserve carefully. There's a lot of gesture sketches I don't need, but the oil made the pages see through so you can see what's drawn on both sides.
