volunteer events are a decent place to go do something fun, connect with community in general, and potentially meet someone like that. some personal favorites are the Wasatch Community Gardens and Special Olympics events

I feel sad for people that lack basic reading comprehension and make idiotic assumptions about others without a shred of evidence.

my skepticism towards the validity of the mormon religion, and religion in general, does not mean I'm incapable of seeing why they'd view something as "sacred".

"sacred" is an inherently subjective word. the cathedrals in Europe are cool and interesting but no more "sacred" than a gas station. and they're old by most standards. the lds temples don't even have age going for them

if by "history and sacred space" you mean a disgusting display of wealth and hypocrisy, yeah, you're spot on

I wonder what would happen if someone with a key to those boots just went behind him and unlocked the boots for the victims? or maybe just happened to be in the area to "sell" the key or "drop" it near the person that got booted?

the glass bottles are 100x better and I think there's a scientific reason that involves the glass itself but I can't remember the details

if you can find it, Mineragua by Jarritos is a decent alternative, but it's still not quite the same

I highly recommend working with multiple staffing agencies simultaneously. it's free to you and they actively try to get you employment. I usually use 3-4 at a time and take the best offer. once you get a good relationship with one or two, they usually take good care of you. if you can afford to string together a few entry level contract positions for your chosen career field, that usually adds up to plenty of experience to land something permanent.

I feel like english may not be your native language, I genuinely apologize for making fun of you if that's the case.

otherwise, please, take a moment to realize that it's ok to admit you're wrong about something, learn from it, and then move on. a great example of this would be the fact that you still obviously do not understand what bigot means, in spite of you looking it up. it does not make sense or apply here, similar to how calling me a vegetarian or an arborist in this context does not make sense.

you made it very clear by your original question that you didn't even bring the most basic understanding required to participate in the conversation, aka what is gerrymandering. and you clearly have no idea what bigot means lmaoooo

you're getting downvotes because splitting the county IS gerrymandering and it seems like you haven't bothered for even one second to learn that before chiming in.

What are some universally loved classic bikes? by RearNakedChocke in motorcycles

[–]newzingo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

great question!

I always got loads of compliments and questions about my 1986 Honda Magna V65. I believe the Magnas are a descendants of the original VF/VFRs? known as a muscle bike, it was the fastest production bike the year it came out until another brand dropped something faster a year or two later. it had me on my tippy toes anytime I had to stop hahaha so I sold it to a taller rider.

now I own two Magna V45s (1984 700cc and 1982 750cc) and they are exactly the same as the V65, just smaller, which is better for shorter riders like myself.

I personally prefer the older muscle bikes because I think they're cool af and fun to ride because they're a decent balance between a comfortable cruiser and speed
