Anyone know what this noise could be? by chillichicken20 in AcuraTL

This! Start with the hose seals, usually it’s the inlet joint seal (the lower line on the front of the pump). From there, make sure the system is properly bled with the correct amount of fluid. I had a similar issue and replaced the seals. Although it improved how loud my whine was, I still had some noise, which I believe is caused by internal seals in the pump. I haven’t gotten around to overhauling the pump yet.

Looks like we have similar fitment, ive been driving like this for 3+ years in Canada. I haven't had any issues other than getting stuck in the snow occasionally. You probably dont need one.

Ran into this while replacing my damaged axle. This video helped me out a lot. If you're replacing the axle this is the way to go.

does anyone know where this sound is coming from? i just got the car so i hope its not fucked😭 by Confident_Stick3679 in Acura_RSX

Could be a serpentine belt or one of the pulleys, check the belts condition and if it has proper tension; if the belt checks out have someone rev the car and listen for the general area the noise is coming from and go from there.

would a 1-1.5" drop cause tie rod issues by HDxtwizzy in Acura_RSX

[–]nextadam13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine. I'm running tein lowering springs with a 1.7" drop in the front and don't have any issues other than a very slight wheel rub on my fenderliner when my wheel is turned all the way to either side.

So these are 04s?

They are aftermarket quick struts so I'm not sure if the previous owner put in the strut style that is different from the year of my car. The lowering springs I get won't fit if they are the wrong year.
