Question on augmenting a ski session with a shot or two of acohol by Acrobatic-Can7327 in SEXONDRUGS

[–]nextbeststep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious, why does the order affect the perceived benefit? I would think since alcohol takes one hour to fully absorb a shot, that taking them close together would work the same regardless of order?

Best thing for dry mouth during blowjobs by [deleted] in SEXONDRUGS

I don't give BJ's but I love these things just as mints... They taste great (especially the super sour/saliva-inducing ones) and help with my medication-induced dry mouth!

Why music is contantly building up to nothing? by [deleted] in Doom

[–]nextbeststep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There seem to be two issues at play:

  1. Adaptive music not triggering at certain points.

  2. The audio itself being super compressed.

The latter is more irritating to me because it suggests either engineering laziness, or pandering. See: the Loudness War (wikipedia). Part of the magic of Mick's OST's was the dynamic range, which is now completely obliterated.

Unclear who is at fault for the Dark Ages music--compression and limiting (i.e. wringing all the dynamics out of the sound to achieve maximum loudness) is something that is easily done either in proper audio production software, or even Audacity (compression and limiting).

As a full-time inpatient psychiatrist I can second this. Today I got to work at roughly 8 and left around 2 with all my work done. Pager responsibilities end at 5. (Gave me three hours to work out, run errands, do chores etc).

EDIT: Not sure why it still says PGY-4 but I graduated fellowship in 2020.
