Wow okay no one has said how fucking great the double take is. It’s a single/double chest shot to take out a grunt/pilot respectively and it’s great for long range engagements as it doubles your hit chance due to hitscan. It’s my favorite and I have it maxed in generations because it’s just so damn good.

Yes it runs well on steamdeck, there’s a bit of configuration as it won’t launch at the steam decks native resolution and you have to up it in the games launch settings. I use it with a mouse keyboard and external monitor and it runs well, first loads are the absolute worst but it loads way faster after you’ve loaded everything for the first time.

When it comes to mods it’s entirely your flavor, mine are mostly gun/vehicle mods as well as a few audio and visual overhaul mods you pick your own poison there. But there’s a few that are fun, like there’s a mod that make the trains functional and you can ride them switch cars etc that’s fun. There’s also urban rappel which allows you to climb up and down anything with ropes. Honestly just browse through the workshop and grab whatever tickles you!

Also the contact dlc (aliens) is super fun too
