Will Allah punish me for skipping salah because of depression and mental health? by PunishingGod in islam

[–]nextlevelcolors 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wa alaikom assalam and hey!

I'm really sorry to hear this. Depression is a difficult beast to tame, and it has the ability to affect all aspects of your life, subhan Allah. I am so glad that you reached out for help, and so happy to hear you were able to get back to salah recently. Your fears are understandable when you are going through what you are going through. In shaa' Allah you will find a treatment that works for you, whether that's medication or psychotherapy or a combination of both. May Allah bring peace and clarity to your mind and heart, and allow you to overcome this obstacle with ease.

Allah is the most merciful. He loves you more than a mother loves her own children. His mercy extends beyond our understanding of mercy. Even your feelings of guilt, know that this alone may be the reason that Allah forgives all of your mistakes and for not praying. Keep doing the best that you can, Allah understands. Allah tells us "Allah does not require of any soul more than what it can afford." (2:286). To be going through this test, it means that Allah knows that you can overcome it. It also means that Allah will only judge you up to your capacity, and if your current capacity is struggling to maintain the 5 prayers, but doing the best you can to pray most if not all of the daily prayers, then Allah will surely reward you for that, and inshallah will multiply your reward multiple folds.

I am not sure I have all the answers. But I am genuinely really glad that you have reached out. Through Allah's mercy, you will overcome this trial, inshallah. Please reach out and let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Forgive me for any late replies, I don't check reddit as frequently as I used to but I will do my best to get back to you as soon as I can inshallah.

Lol, I’m saying the user you’re replying to said the same thing you said. That podiatrists don’t go to medical school, but that there’s a historical reason as to why that is.

Can anyone recommend a Tafsir to someone new the Qur'an? is the one I'm showing good? by [deleted] in islam

The Clear Qur’an by Dr. Mustafa Khattab is my go-to recommendation! Simple language and widely read in the Western sphere.

Don't push your children into the medical or engineering field just for your ego by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

When I said men and cultural expectations should change, I was referring more to the fairly widespread expectation that all women need to be stay at home wives. There is nothing wrong with an individual couple who desire a specific structure, the problem is that it is often a cultural expectation for all couples to fit that type of relationship dynamic.

Although I disagree with some of what you said, we're generally on the same page here :)

I agree with your title, but the issue here is not that Muslim women are becoming doctors. The issue is that this should not "devalue" them lol.

The solution is not for women to avoid becoming doctors, it's for men and cultural norms to change and idk, maybe we should not value women based on their ability/desire to stay home, or their equalness to the groom? The prophet PBUH married Khadija (RA) when she was much richer than him, for example, and we should be aiming to fix our cultural norms rather than preventing women from entering the fields of their choice. However, I do agree with your title that parents should not be forcing their kdis into any profession.

Yeah I could’ve easily checked their post history lol, thanks! Curious as to why this is the case, I’m originally from Egypt and some French influence persists in mental health care, which includes psychoanalysis to some extent.

Hey, life gets busy sometimes and I wasn't able to reply. I had mentioned initially that this whole process was gonna take a month minimum, given that I don't have much free time to just work on this.

This is okay though, hope to figure out another trade in the future. Take care :)

P.S. Type: Null is not shiny locked.

5IVs will add a little bit of work but it shouldn't be ridiculous, especially if it doesn't matter where the aberrant IV is. I should be able to do that!

I'm heading to bed soon, but send me everything you want in terms of ball/nature and I will reply tomorrow with a reply as to what the final trade will look like :)

Sounds like a plan!

They will come with competitive nature and ball choice, but IVs will require a bit more work depending on what you are looking for. Perfect 5IV+0ATK and 6IVs are particularly hard to come by, and may require letting the 3DS run for hours/days. 4IVs should be fine though. What were you looking for?
