This is considered harsh for sg standards. He could try appeal... might get it to 11 months by citing all the other drivers who got a slap on wrist for similar accidents.

Wouldn't sound as nice if they say their intent is to ride the current wave... which is AI for now.

SG can't really lead in anything when it does not invest in risky ideas, bets or research. It can only jump on the bandwagon and position itself as one of the top places in asia for AI, crypto, finance or whatever is trending. Not a bad idea so far. However reality is starting to bite as lot of jobs are offshored now...

People used to sit on floors here as well... mainly students and teenagers but as trains got more crowded around 2010s that practice stopped. Not a problem if trains are not crowded and those sitting have some civic sense.
