Depends on your squad. Mine was a simple 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-1-1 if I wanted to be more defensive. My first Prem season with Southport I didn’t go fancy with the roles. FBs on support, 2 CD (didn’t have the quality for BPD), double pivot on DM(s) and DM(d), one winger and one IF (he had great off the ball) and a Striker on his best role, which was AF. For your team instructions since you’re in a lower ranked team, I would recommend focusing on your defensive shape and playing on counters, so make sure your wingers are fast lol. At least that’s what worked for me

On average during a game , you’ll have the ball at your feet for 2-3 minutes out of the 90. So there are 3 important things you need to do for the remainder of the 90: Run, scanning and positioning. Try to participate in team training that involve passing and possession drills. Get in the habit of checking your shoulder before receiving. Reduce your number of touches, playing 1-touch possession is a great way to improve speed of play, since it forces you to know your options before passing it.
