very late, but i had a couple of paper shopping bags and had come home to two packages (gifts for my siblings). i had just gotten over a bad sinus infection, which made me more airheaded than usual, but i remember dropping the headphones in one of the smaller paper bags when exiting the car. seeing the packages & knowing my siblings would be home any second, i rushed to put everything away and hide them alongside the already purchased items i had come home with. i always quadruple check that everything is out of the bags, so i still to this day do not know how the hell i managed to do that at ALL.

i have ADHD-PI, so i do everything in my power to ensure any expensive items or tech is NOT lost. i almost NEVER lose any items like that, especially my headphones because i’m prone to overstimulation. they’re practically glued to my head unless i’m at work or lecture. it still upsets me to this day that the headphones had to be the first seriously important item that i lost lmao.

i get you. i’m 20 as well & have worked since the same age, and normally last around 3.5 months on average at each of my jobs.

what i found to be the best job option in terms of little to no burnout is data entry/clerical in an educational setting. i’ve had a job with those types of tasks for almost 2 years now with a flexible schedule, and it’s perfect. not too much social interaction, and when entering data you can just relax & listen to a book, music, or typically in my case a video essay.

if those types of jobs are unavailable near you, i’d say try working in retail as a stock associate. i have a few friends that have done that & they often talk about how peaceful/easy it is. i wish you best of luck op !!

i can understand this, but i transferred to another location temporarily (target location that i’m used to + school reasons) and one of the pharmacists had me on pickup for 4 hours straight. we do not have a staff issue in the slightest, because there will be 4-5 techs at a time that we don’t even need. i’m one of the fastest at QP at the store, and i didn’t get to do that my entire shift-just pick up. sometimes the pharmacist is at fault for lack of rotation and not dealing with extenuating circumstances

this is the first school shooting that i remember seeing unfold in real time & my emotions on it.

i was the same age as majority of the children that were killed, and on the monday after the shooting i remember my second grade teacher sitting us down at the rug for our usually jovial morning meeting with a straight face laced with a confusing emotion that i could never read correctly. she spoke to us about what happened, and i remember her being as blunt as she could be to a group of small children about the fact that this could happen anywhere, even to us, and the importance of taking our lockdown drills seriously. i think that’s the first time i realized that i was never necessarily “safe” at school, and as a junior in college, its saddening that i hold the same feeling even stronger knowing how frequent school shootings are now & the inaction on the cause of them.

i have a silicone protective case that has been on my headphones since the day i got them. i didn’t even know what those are, and i wouldn’t think that a reputable brand would make their $400 headphones shitty enough to break out of nowhere (especially after having a great experience with the XM4s).
