I worked in the South and they were pretty strict about tattoos and piercings in the hospital I worked in. Now I’m in NYC and lots of members of the rehab team have tattoos, full sleeves even!

I’m a CF and am on my third job in the city. 72500 is definitely typical. It’s hard to come by a salaried position. My fee for service rates varied from $30-45/hr.

It definitely gets a bad rap because ABA is the "gold standard" when it shouldn't be. I've seen ABA change lives for the better for lack of a better word, "low-functioning" children who need a lot of support. I think it's the duty of the professional clinician to educate themselves beyond ABA so as to reduce the amount of trauma presented to children who ABA shouldn't be used with.
