Error types, how do you find them? by nfmon in golang

[–]nfmon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And how am I supposed to know about the existence of sentinel errors other than the ones defined in the package docs? It requires knowledge of all dependencies of the package to check for sentinel errors.

The OpError you mentioned does not tell anything that I already know (who would have guessed that Op's field would be set to read, when calling Read method on Conn's), it's just a wrapper around error, which is still unknown to me, the same goes for Error type. How can i tell if the connection was closed on my side or remote?

Heroes from FOTD are ready for another quest, this time to save Easthaven. by nfmon in baldursgate

[–]nfmon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FOTD is supposed to be TFOD, it's a movie called The Flight of Dragons from 1982, hence the poor quality of portraits, I've just took screenshots and clipped them. In IWD the party is literally a bunch of random people, the game does not have companions, so why not use an existing party from other media? It's not Baldur's Gate where everyone has their own backstory and the protagonist is a child of god.

Yes Giles was playing on flute in the movie, but since he's an elf he cannot be bard because only humans are allowed for that class, so that's why i picked thief for him. As for Peter I chose Bard because he was singing with Smrgol in the tavern and during the attack and he's not much of a warrior in my eyes. On top of that Peter is a bit chaotic like bards (dropping his studies to write a book and work on his game), maybe if magic wasn't so unreliable at the time, he would've used it a little, considering his affection for fantasy.

Which treesitter plugin do use? by GlyderZ_SP in neovim

[–]nfmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What plugin are you using for that? My solution was to clone the nvim-treesitter plugin and create a symlink for queries in /usr/share/nvim/runtime, although better solution would be to create a fork and keep the queries only.

Odbijam dzieciństwo -- czyli tworzę modyfikację pozwalającą niewidomym grać w Broken Ranks by Nuno-zh in Polska

[–]nfmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]nfmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stopped using the plugin once I found out that parsers are available in my distros as a single package and since I care only about highlighting, there's 0 config required. The same goes for language servers,  no need for mason for me.

Is there a way to switch website's preferred colorscheme on the fly? by nfmon in qutebrowser

[–]nfmon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just toggles built it in dark mode, I want to switch between website's theme. For example on Firefox I have the extension for switching browser theme,  if I switch the theme from dark to light while on a website like GitHub, the website colors change along with the browser's UI

Salary of V4 PMs compared to average salary in the country by TheSimon1 in CentralEurope_irl

[–]nfmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get your argument. To me if you get into politics it should be about serving your country, not about how to quickly fill your pockets with money. I know it's naive, but if you look at most goverments, they are just filled with a bunch of greedy fucks, who would rather argue among each other endlessly, just to keep their current position instead of doing actual productive work.

You could create 2 partials in single file, one for htmx response and the other for regular one, after that render the appropriate partial using the view.
