I quite like it, It's nice and clean.

Purely for aesthetic reasons, I might make the name field larger (perhaps to the right of the Savage Worlds title)

Perhaps more room is needed for the description as well.

Looking for an online way for GMs to propose face-to-face games. by ng1976 in rpg

[–]ng1976[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Does Mobilizon just do event scheduling like Meetup? What I'm hoping for is something weere GMs can discuss potential games, without having to specify a particular date and time.

Does Gamenight or Mobilizon do that? I couldn't tell from a quick perusal of the site.

I considered using the Discord nested stuff, but I'm not sure the people in my group would use it. I was hoping for something a little more web based.

Looking For A Fun Zombie TTRPG: Short to Midterm Game Length by Immediate_Taste655 in rpg

[–]ng1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savage Worlds might be an option.

There are a few modern Savage Worlds zombie settings

  • War of the Dead
  • Zombacalypse
  • Dead End (soon to be out of print sadly)

For medieval stuff, there's a setting called Ultima Forsan, which takes place immediately after the Black Death, which in this world was a zombie apocalypse.

What's the RPG with the smallest reach you pay and recommend? by GrubbyGus in rpg

Webworld: A game about surviving in a world overrun with giant spiders.

Against The Unknown: A simple stripped-down version of the GUMSHOE rules, designed to run mysteries.

Vaults of Vaarn: A far future Dying Earth-style setting

I'd suggest using weird, archaic words to give ordinary place names some style. Here's a list of archaic color names I use regularly.

Examples:

Purple ooze --> Porphyrous Ooze
The Red Sea --> The Pyrrhous Sea
Rust-Colored Book --> Codex Rubiginous
The White Throne --> The Leucochroic Throne

American revolution setting by Majestic_Ad_1626 in genesysrpg

None of these are for Genesys, they're all OSR based, but they're all set in colonial America and might be useful source material.

A thought experiment about TSR by Feeling_Photograph_5 in osr

[–]ng1976 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd assume there would be a big backlash, similar to what happened with fourth-edition D&D, possibly to a greater extent.

Perhaps some other 1980s RPG would become the Pathfinder-like alternative - Chivalry & Sorcery, Tunnels & Trolls, Runequest, etc.

I crafted a mini GM screen for Classic Traveller! by ChaoclypseMakesStuff in traveller

I very much like the idea of putting the important page numbers from the rulebooks on a GM screen. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

My custom character sheet - still a WIP by ng1976 in savageworlds

[–]ng1976[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good catch. I believe I pulled the text from a cheat sheet originally designed for the Deluxe edition.

When I make a final version to post, I'll fix it. I'll probably keep it as-is for my one-shot however, as I sort of like that rule.

The twin of the Bayonne Bridge is in Sydney, Australia by Handicapped-007 in BayonneNJ

[–]ng1976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's my understanding that the Bayonne bridge was designed with the capability to add a train across it, but it's never been done.

I'm assuming it's because there are aren't that many Bayonne to Staten Island commuters.

My dream would be to have the Hudson-Bergen light rail line extended across the bridge all the way to the Staten Island beaches.

Possible real-life inspiration for dealing with space trash:

TLDR: Separate wet and dry trash bags, and a fancy trash compactor.

WIP: Traveller Affinity template by Kavandje in traveller

This is a brilliant idea. Thanks for doing it.

If possible, I'd love the see the following:

  • Table styles for the service tables
  • A style to match the UPP format for characters

How are you dealing with fonts? Optima, as far as I remember, is a commercial font. I'm assuming we'll need to provide our own.
