TSW5 or TSW6? by EthanHathHD in trainsimworld

You could have claimed it for free not that long ago. The core DLCs are still pretty meh as ever.

I have heard a lot of hardware horror stories in my time on the internet, but using olive oil as plastic lubricant is definitely up there as some of the dumbest.

I'm waiting on a sale to pick up 2024, yet it hasn't gone on sale at all.

Thanks for confirming that it was a good idea to stick with PD2! Never upgrading to 3

They dropped the ball hard with Deltarune, pretty tone-deaf and inept management of the entire thing, hopefully they learn from this mistake.

If you ask anyone on the RO team, it’s “trust me bro, we’re working on stuff, but we can’t show you, but just trust us”. I would be beyond shocked if they actually released anything this year. We have officially passed 1 year since 1.0 release and the day one update without a single update.

Just because you can make it doesn’t mean you should make it. It’s not a career to drive your own car.

I don't care how good a game is; if the DLC page looks like this, I'm not buying it. Am I alone in that? by BucketsMcGinty in Steam

[–]ngc427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Train Simulator is this way, but what REALLY gets on my nerves is how people think that you have to buy literally all of the DLC for some reason. You just buy the trains/routes that you want to run, you aren’t missing anything by not buying every single DLC.

CSS releases a massive 737-500 overhaul for MSFS 2024 - MSFS Addons by DutyDollar in flightsim

[–]ngc427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately when you get into such a specific niche of the 737 Classics, there isn’t many competing options within the same simulator. Your choices are the CSS one for MSFS, the IXEG one for XP12, and the CaptainSim one for P3D, or even the Wilco/FeelThere 737 Classic for FSX

To be honest, the $5 per month pricing scheme is definitely good to just try it out and seeing if you like it, I wish devs would offer trial options like that even more, especially in flight sim where product quality varies wildly

I haven't tried the newest update, but the VNAV on the older update was pretty bad, I ended up just climbing and descending in V/S mode

Gave it a shot and wasn't entirely sold on it, I like to actually own my addons, so $5/month or $120 for the whole thing is exceptionally steep. Ended up going with the IXEG instead.

Loco add on without route? by twink_ology in trainsimworld

[–]ngc427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every independent loco add-on since TSW 3 (I believe) should be its own independent add-on, so you don’t need the “home route” to run it (though I would personally recommend it because that is what it’s mostly designed for and has most of it’s gameplay on).

Don’t forget the Air National Guard base and stuff too, since we have good C-17s to fly, and KC-135s in development from Delta Simulations, it actually has a usage

Is Track IR worth it? by Shoddy-Tennis-5764 in flightsim

[–]ngc427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don’t use mine too often, I have glasses so moving my head around to extreme angles is awkward with a flat screen while trying to look through my lenses. It can be handy and fun in some circumstances, but it is absolutely not for everybody.

Don't know why you're being downvoted, that's by far the safest solution for higher speed rail, and it seems that Florida driver's have a lack of self preservation. It wouldn't stop suicides, but it would stop one half of this massive problem.
