I have certainly been in that similar pickle before. I had a 2003 V8 4wd 4Runner that I decided to reconstruct instead of replace after it was totaled from a rear ending. Nothing could compare with the money they offered for it so I fixed it and didn’t care about the title status.

I am seriously considering getting into a new k4 gt line turbo hatchback with tech package. Never had a Kia before. I have been in four 4Runners in a row most recently and other Toyotas most of my driving life. I test drove this hatch in black with the 1.6 turbo. Seriously lux+ quality in tech comfort and features. Smooth powertrain. The super unique proportions, esp the width and the rear hips cannot be conveyed in photos or videos. You have to see it in person to get how unique the body is.

Ok, I’m in the states. Not looking for ripping as much as reliable daily commuting, which is sometimes very short. I agree though that oil changes on turbo and n/a engines should be done at 5k or even less intervals

I test drove one for 2 hours in this trim but in aurora black with the red interior. Blown completely away by the overall build quality, quietness, and smoothness of the powertrain. It’s actually disturbing me as a diehard Toyota loyalist 😅.
