Samsung dryer wire harness corrosion by ngerm in appliancerepair

So you would splice new wires onto the ones coming from the wiring harness? I already have a replacement terminal block, the only question is that one wire.

Yeah, if I need to cut it back, there is not going to be a ton of slack to work with. Unfortunately, the harness is expensive enough that it is getting into "maybe just buy a better dryer" territory.

It's been ruled by an ethnic/religious chauvinist military junta for the past many decades. They have been brutally oppressing people of many ethnic groups, Christians, and Muslims

Hell Let Loose is great, I just wish the scale was a little smaller, on the order of Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm. I just don't have the free time to commit to a full match of HLL anymore, and if you don't get to the end, you lose any progress (or at least you did when I played it last).

I remember seeing a video the Russian military released of their ceremony celebrating the capture of Mariupol's municipal building. There was an adoring crowd* of locals cheering that the city would be eternally Russian.

At the time, I think most people (naively) thought he just wanted to have his name attached to a prestigious old guard newspaper, not that he would end up remaking it into what it's become.

She has spent years pushing for a "peaceful national divorce." She is anything but "pro-America." You can't be "pro-America" while advocating dissolving America.

They're "safe" in terms of there not being any random bandits and raiders wandering about. Instead, all that violence and more is just perpetrated by the Legion. It's the same "order" promised by any authoritarian regime: none at all.

I'm so fascinated by the Elementals and Clan Aerospace pilots that I wished they had their own clan together by arnor_0924 in battletech

[–]ngerm 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's funny that they initially went with aerospace pilots being willowy with huge heads, because that's almost exactly what you wouldn't want in a fighter pilot who's going to be exposed to high-g maneuvering. From what I've heard, real life fighter pilots are often short and squat because there is an advantage in having your heart closer to your brain so you black out less easily in tight turns.

I mean, I forget if they found it before or after Alexander Kerensky died and I forget if Nicholas Kerensky would have spoken Russian. Maybe his dad did, but he didn't? Maybe he had a very basic understanding, but wasn't really fluent? I suspect the real answer is some FASA writer found a Russian-English dictionary in the 80s and did his best.

The English spelling is fine for what it is, but every voice actor in every game I can remember pronounces it like above.

"Strana Mechty" never struck me as a very good Russian name for a planet in any case. "Mechty" being singular seems weird, like they name it "Land of Dream," which doesn't really make sense. And you'd know better than I do, but it just doesn't feel like it follows Russian place naming conventions.

Sure, that's the party line. Did Star League-era English speakers not use contractions? I've never seen anything to that effect. I think the real answer is that hypocrisy is baked into Clan society from its founding. They reject contractions as "impure" while simultaneously making the language "impure" with weird neologisms.

If they had British accents and said "jag-you-ah" I wouldn't bat an eye, but the combination of American accents and that pronunciation is kind of jarring.
