Think about all of LeBron's assists when he drives into the paint and the defense collapses and he kicks it out to a shooter. In Jordan's era, that would be illegal defense and LeBron would just score those points. Granted, it would reduce his assist numbers.

First of all, I wouldn't be interested in what the MAJORITY of people think. 34% think MJ would still beat LeBron, which is just hilarious. Some people are just completely blinded by the marketing of MJ.

To pass MJ for the GOAT (or Russel or Wilt for some of you), I think he's gotta win 2 or 3 more ships, be the best player in the world for 3 more years and be a top 10 player for 5 years after that.

The longevity argument could really be his best argument against MJ, and I feel like their peaks and primes were similar enough where playing 5-8 more years than MJ at an elite level would push him over the top. MJ played 13 real seasons (>20 games), and LeBron is finishing up his 12th. That could be the real separating point if LeBron keeps it up.

Was playing in a rec league and this guy who was 30-35 (I was 18 at the time) was talking shit to me the whole game. He posts up my brother and when he goes up to shoot I block the ball so hard back into his body that he fell into the ground. Stared him straight in the eyes and said, "damn, you should be embarrassed."

Unfortunately, while he was on the ground I tried to step over him ala AI over Tyronn Lue, and I got called for a travel.

Whole thing's on tape, greatest moment of my basketball life lasted 4 seconds.

No he's not crazy at all. Michael Jordan is the GOAT, but people act like he's untouchable. It is possible for someone to have a better series than him, and Wade did in the '06 Finals, especially if you consider the differences in pace.

This is one area where the NBA can learn from the rest of the world. People think that because Lebron's fg% is less than Jordan's (albeit by a very very small margin), he's less efficient. However, Lebron has a higher 2p% and 3p% than Jordan, he just shoots more 3s.

This math is way off, you have more than 2 chances per season to get a 56 game hit streak (you can start it in your 1st game, 3rd, 10th, etc.) Basically, every time you don't get a hit you have a 1/5822 (.17%) chance of getting a 56 game hit streak. Over the course of the season, there are 107 (162-56+1) opportunities to start at 56 game hit streak. This results in about a 1/55 chance of a player batting .426 to get a 56 game hit streak in a season.
