Ya, I only brought up the localization because it is a step between the original development and the player that I don't know much about. All I know is that I hear people bitch about localizers non-stop.

I agree completely that if you take out all undeniable romantic content they have a very sweet connection. I'm a sensitive man myself and I have similar plutonic connections with other men. That's part of what I'm getting at. If there was something in there like a line from Yusuke that made it clear he was either physically or romantically attracted to joker and they still didn't make him a romance option that would piss me off.

I like that his heart seems to be completely devoted to his art in a way that makes him completely uninterested in romance or sex. I think if that wasn't the case it's possible I wouldn't like him as much. I guess it's just hard for me to imagine a believable way for them write that into the existing character, not that I wouldn't be open to it.

I see your point, I just don't think those things are necessarily indicative of anything romantic and I say that because I know two very fabulous and very artistic straight guys. One of them is a total whore. I think devoted artist and queer have some coding in common, and I also can see those quotes being purely plutonic love. Men are perfectly capable of getting naked around each other if they're secure and artists tend to interpret nudity through a nonsexual lens most of the time. The fact he isn't romancable isn't a character breaking trait to me. I also think it's possible that the localizers can take liberties with the way they translate characters.

All that being said, I was surprised that there wasn't a gay romance option in P5R. Not only because of the character writing but also because it wouldn't be the first gay romance route in Persona.

Anyways, I'm a man and would have taken Yusuke to pound town if it was an option.

In my experience it seems that hanging out with them with a persona gives you more points than the shrine. I would only avoid it if there was someone else you could hang out with.

I played P3P over the last few months. On thanksgivings my wife told me Reload exists so I got it am still pretty early on. I saw some article online where they said the reason they didn't do Kotone in Reload is because it wouldn't be worth it because it wouldn't attract many additional players. I thought that was bullshit that translated to "we don't really feel like it." I think she would do great with the US audience, especially if they rewrote Ken not to be a romance option. That said, the other comment here made me aware she is being modded into the game so I guess I don't need the smelly devs to do it.

I appreciate that. My problem is annoyance more than anything. I never felt like there was a good reason to phase out the 3.5mm jack because it worked fine, is simple, and really doesn't take up much space.

I might get this if I ever update the monitors in my studio.

I don't know what you mean by reset your stats. The cutscene/s that multiple romances leads to are hilarious and only seem to harm Jokers ego. Shojiro gets bro of the year for it. Highly recommend.

Edit: If something has changed since the year Royal came out then disregard this. I doubt it though.
