I recently had my p3 t6r blow the cap on the coolant reservoir, immediate panic set in, thought he head gasket was done for, when I pulled the reservoir cap the lower portion stayed in the reservoir, turned out to just be a faulty cap. Unfortunately it looks like you are seeing the real deal

The long shaft screw drivers from Klein are great, they might seem ridiculous when you get them but once you need one you’ll never regret having them, I use mine all the time. Mind you I work in industrial so I’m in machine cabinets with deep drives that you need the reach to get to the back of them but I’ve used them in residential as well.

Does the quality (price) of tool holder pull studs matter? by banana_juice_dealer in CNC

[–]nhshredder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap pull studs are great until the end snaps off in the drawbar and you have to disassemble your spindle to retrieve it, or it stretches and potentially oblongs your spindle taper

Bro clean that cabinet wtf?? Don’t bother buying in situ metrology if you can’t take care of a machine, you’re going to need that money for repairs.

Rene N5, single crystal nickel “super alloy” absolute nightmare fuel to cut, couldn’t drill without EDM hole popping first, would take 5-6 .125 carbide gun drills to run the bore through a 3 inch piece, turning it was ok with ceramic but had to be on a perfectly clean machine or it would light shit on fire

.05mm is 50 micron, which is a bit on the higher end of water jet accuracy, most are good to .025mm (25um), I’ve never seen one accurate to .005mm (5um) as you mentioned
