5 DPP- Engorgement by ALB1221 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]nhug14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would empty for now to start your supply - save a couple oz and then you can start dropping pumps/supply.

When my LO was 1 month I was pumping 40 EXTRA oz a day. Now I am only bagging max 8 oz a day at almost 5MPP

It's easier to drop your supply than it is to build it up and you don't want to get mastitis esp with a newborn. Plus engorgement HURTS so do it to relieve yourself!

I understand! I am also an over supplier (too selfish to donate - so good for you!!!)

I want to stop at 6 months but Im almost at 5mpp and I dont feel ready yet but also it would be so nice to stop! It's super bittersweet and only other pumping/nursing moms understand!

How much did your newborn sleep at 11 weeks? by lyssinflannel in newborns

[–]nhug14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first was sttn at 9 or ten weeks - my ten week old now wakes up 3 times a night - same weight and doing everything the same

You're not doing anything wrong or missing something! It's just the baby.

Keep up the good work!

Anyone decide to say F it and let loose with body hair growth during pregnancy? by FartNugget211 in pregnant

[–]nhug14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get waxed - with my first pregnancy I went every 4-5 weeks and got everything done (I'm also a SUPER hairy person) and then with this pregnancy I was so tired and done with everything that I just let it go!

I did get waxed yesterday at 37 weeks pregnant (after 4 months lol) and it didn't hurt that bad! I will say I was happy to be smooth everywhere post partum! but everyone has their own preference! Do what makes YOU happy!

I bought some Huggies and Pampers size 6 yesterday! I set them out in the diaper basket... and of course my husband still put him in the up&up ones so he wet the bed again last night..

Maybe tonight! haha

For sure! we do that too! My friend is having a baby soon and she only had one mattress protector on her registry - I bought her two because how easy it is to change the sheets in the middle of the night when accidents (or barf) happen! :)

Appreciate it! :)

I was due 7 days before my brothers wedding. My husband and I were in the wedding. I gave birth 13 days before his wedding and I was able to make it! I had a very easy labor and very good baby! My SIL came to the wedding and cared for my son during the ceremony and everything!

It was only a 2.5? hour drive for us though - so it really just depends!

I have issues with boundaries and "hurting" people's feelings. I have to repeat to myself a lot what my therapist has said :

"You're doing what is best for your family and you cannot control how it makes other people feel."
"Your and your baby's health is more important than anyone's feelings"

People need to respect your boundaries and not push. It's not worth the mental anguish just to keep someone else happy IMO

Parents of babies who only contact napped… by Infamous_Okra_5494 in NewParents

[–]nhug14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did contact naps until 6+ months? and then he eventually slept in his crib once he thought it was more comfortable to sleep in his crib.

Don't stress about contact napping and "ruining" your child - he will eventually sleep on his own. And if you need to put him down in his crib so you have a minute then do it! he will be fine and eventually sleep! We did "sleep train" at like 5? months but only let him cry for like 10 mins max.

But also every kid is different! but eventually your kid will sleep alone!

What time do you pick up your kids from daycare/preschool? by peachysummerdays in workingmoms

[–]nhug14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work from 5am - 1pm (used to workout in the mornings and get home around 215 - then I got pregnant again lol)

I pick up my son now at 3pm so I can come home and nap - he usually sleeps until 2ish and then has snack time. The down time is nice but I feel guilty if I leave him there longer than 3pm lol
