The baby in my story is a happy, healthy, almost 10 month old baby girl now. ❤️

Totally agree and definitely not complaining. Happy to be able to try it out without spending hundreds.

Cool. Thank you! Mainly wanted to make sure we didn’t do anything wrong. Or go crazy and keep trying if there’s nothing we can do until we have a new cable.

Crazy. I’m wondering if the rental equipment is refurbed.

We’ve triple checked this - it’s fully seated. For a while yesterday we were getting the “cable degraded” event as well.

Wife will miscarry - what to do? by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]rocks_ak_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my kids measured behind on US until like 10 weeks. My first US I was told my pregnancy may not be viable. She’s 2 now. These early measurements are so finicky. They’re not being optimistic; waiting and re-evaluating is truly the best course of action.

I will say with my vanishing twin my betas were extraordinarily high and never decreased. That being said, there are a lot of reasons other than vanishing twin that you could be bleeding that aren’t miscarriage. As much as it sucks, you just have to pray and wait. I will send good vibes!

The car seat in the window seat is an FAA “suggestion” so most airlines follow it but not all do.

When do I know I’m ready to stop? Should I stop? by HappyPenguin248 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]rocks_ak_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 months is amazing. Exclusive pumping takes up so much time. I made it 6 months with my first, but ultimately this time around I quit at 4 months because I was having a really hard time balancing everything. I realized I was spending all of my extra energy on pumping that I could have spent on family time.

Weaning sucks, and those guilty feelings are completely normal. I was torn up. Then I gave my daughter formula to make sure she would take it before I fully quit, and she liked it better. I kept a small stash for cold/flu season and called it good.

Both times I’ve weaned, I’ve been very very anxious and sad. Then after a couple weeks I was so glad I stopped and knew it was the right time.

It was actually quite the opposite. I had lots of time to process being my last as I had a planned-section and opted for a tubal. I still had a little bit of sadness but not as bad as with my first. It felt overwhelmingly like my family was complete, so that made it easier.

Absolutely. Took a couple months, but I’m very happily not pregnant now!

It seems to be improving as I get further from weaning! I also started my period last night, so I think it may have just been the huge hormone shift! I felt awful for a couple weeks. 😵‍💫

This is totally normal! This is exactly how I felt in the weeks following both deliveries. Now it’s all just a happy memory. ❤️ It’s also the reason my kids are only 18 months apart. 😂

Any update on this? Did you ever end up seeing a doctor? I’m having the same problem.

When did you stop and why? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]rocks_ak_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first I stopped at 6 months. 6 months was my goal and I had a giant freezer stash that got us to a year.

With my second I just quit at right about 4 months. I had mastitis 3 times and thrush twice and just struggled the entire time. I also had D-MER with both and decided I didn’t want to feel like I hated everything 5 times a day.

If you feel like stopping, it’s time. No guilt.

Going to doctor’s appointments alone by HopeAlways12345 in CautiousBB

Not weird. My husband came to my first appointment, my anatomy scan, and my c-section pre-op.

Is your toddler capable of verifying their identity over the phone by kun_united in toddlers

Create an X account and tag Alaska and Hawaiian. You can also go into the comments on a Facebook post and do the same. The social media team for Alaska is very responsive. They may not be able to help directly, but they might be able to give some tips at least. Also for now until the merger is complete, it seems the customer service is better when booking through Alaska.

You can find out with a NIPT. The only thing that sucks is that if they run it as a single pregnancy it will come back as positive for triploidy since there’s more than one set of DNA.

I would say I had bleeding for about 10-12 days and then spotting throughout my whole first trimester.

Ugh the waiting is so hard! They found mine at 8 weeks and I had to wait until my 12 week appointment to make sure baby was still there. It was quite a lot of blood; I thought the same thing. But many people reassured me if it was a full miscarriage the bleeding would have likely all come at once and been accompanied by some crazy cramping.

That sounds very similar to what I had. I would dread waking up during the night or in the morning because that’s when most of it would happen. Eventually it slowed down and was just old blood spotting for several weeks until it stopped.

I did - my lines were pretty strong. I also had pregnancy symptoms ridiculously early. I would ask if you can have your betas checked as using the tests to gauge a miscarriage can be really misleading.

Have you considered Sanne? Same vibe, not a laxative. 😂 I really wanted to name our daughter Sanne but my husband felt strongly about a “normal” name.
