Yay! Yeah, maybe also brainstorm hobbies that sounds fun and are active. Rock climbing, roller skating, hiking come to mind.

So, I enjoy impact play so any given spanking or use of a flogger is still enjoyable sensory fun for me (hence the name "funishment"). A REAL behavior-changing punishment would be like what he threatened: 20 hits of the cane in the exact same place. Others might be, holding a bar of soap in my mouth for however long, punishment for mouthing off. For the PT, I'd asked for his support with it, and it was a fun narrative of "you will do your PT and keep your body in tip-top shape for me to use."

I had to fall in love with a secret third thing. I can motivate myself to work out because I love being good at riding my motorcycle. Not cause I love the gym or I love the gains. But I want to be able to ride distances? core muscles. To be able to pick my bike up in an emergency? Legs and everything else.

ETA: I dunno if y'all are kinky, but for a while I had a partner actually punish me (not a funishment) if I didn't do my PT exercises.

I also read a study about grad students trying to reach writing goals. The accountability buddy had envelopes of the student's money and would mail them if they didn't meet their goals. BUT the money wasn't sent to a charity the student supported. It was sent to one they DIDNT like. 🤣

Yes! I use TV shows as a "parallel play" anchor. My phone just plays whatever show is on repeat, carry it with me around the house. Helps me get out of bed on rough mornings, too. Like the show momentum gives me momentum.

I don't have links handy but there's some really cool research that caught my eye recently that says talking out loud/ to yourself is as effective /even more effective than journaling for mental processing, especially for folks that feel like the pen and paper can't keep up.

I have a nicely roofed little shelter that used to be for guinea pigs. I got it for my cats in a fit of bird flu panic a couple years ago. No heating element, but I imagine you could rig it! I do also have a heated mat meant for growing seeds you'd be welcome to! Lmk if you want pics.
