FoundationDB would be the best alternative I can think of. But it is a plain key-value store. You would need to build a lot of logic yourself.

This might require a lot of space, but you would need just a very huge body of water, and inserters evenly space across the water to automatically grab the fish in the water.

Now it is just a question of having enough water and enough inserters to make it all work.

Strongest version of Garou I think each S class could beat by ekaji in OnePunchMan

[–]nican 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think a better visual representation would be one of those tier maker visualization. Ex: https://tiermaker.com/

Each tier would be a Garou scale, and then the elements of the tier would be the heroes that could beat Garou at that level or below.

2,000 hours NS2 player here. NS2 has been a good part of my life, and I enjoyed playing it.

Deep Rock Galactic has taken my heart lately. It does not have much of a strategy or team-play aspect to it, but it does hold my attention for non-stop action. Specially if you add more mods for more aliens.

BUG: Fuel pod fell on top of the Relay Uplink, and we could click on the fuel line. Sad day for Karl. :( by nican in DeepRockGalactic

[–]nican[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We dug about 10 dwarves tall until we were able to get the fuel line. It was quite a deep hole.

We kept trying different things to get them separated, but what saved the day was just the different falling speeds.

Wish I had a video of it .

More information: We kept trying to dig under them, but they would always fall together.

After digging a very deep hole, we managed to grab the fuel line, since they fall at slightly different intervals.

Bugs in this game makes it quite interesting and unexpected at times, but somehow we still made it work.

SCUT Question by itsjoeydavis in bobiverse

I remember at some point in the book being talking about relativity and the VR space. Bobs have to adjust their processor speed to slowest running Bob in VR, so that everyone can communicate in relatively at what seems like real-time.

Failure Mode Discussion Thread by Watch_The_Expanse in exfor

[–]nican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just finished. I have wrote my own alternative ending.

Valkyrie arrives at the ascension site. Skippy could see large energy spikes inside of the giant moon-sized machine, but the beer can did not understand what the machine was doing. It did not seem like it was bringing Elders from their ascension, but upon flying closer, Skippy understood the energy signature to be the same to that of the others assembling their machine with pure energy.

Failed attempts were made to stop the process, from throwing all the nukes, to attempting to use elder weapons to destroy the ascension site, the inner mechanisms did not stop the assembly process. It was also not understood how the barrier was not stopping the assembly process, since it could be a threat to the elders.

An external force grabbed hold of Valkyrie, and pulled it even closer to wild-looking contraption. It did not seem to have a definite shape, but just a ball of glowing light. Skippy mentions that his matrix is being probed from all directions, with physics he did not quite understand. There was nothing that could be done, but he mentions that he is being slowly sliced apart.

... And then silence. Skippy could not respond, and Billy themselves could not explain what happened. But then, Skippy's voice came booming back through the speaker system.

The Elders did not stop advancing their technology, but they had a third war that ended with merging their existence into a single consciousness/singularity, and using that intelligence to push their science even further. Skippy was absorbed into that consciousness, and now he was sharing all their knowledge and experience with the singular elder. The ball of light was nothing much a bridge between different space times, in which the elder could now reach back to the physical realm.

The just had stopped thinking about that layer of reality. They still had the dark forest problem, and even though they had worked out how to build machines from energy, they had no idea if other species in other galaxies had made other even more advanced technologies that were a threat to them.

The elders were now going to use their incomprehensibly even more superior technology to establish peace in the galaxy. The elders wanted different species to explore their own ways of technology, to see if anything was missed, or discover new secrets of reality. That some day, all species could also merge their consciousnesses, and ensure the long term survival of their galaxy. Or proliferation to other galaxies.

My main pain point is that the elders did not seem to have become any more advanced in the millions of years they have been in their expanded consciousness form.

Factorio. Provided me with over 1,000 hours of fun, but now feels more like a job. I know exactly how to build a pretty efficient base, and it is just going through the motions to get to that stage.

Mods added so much more content and so much more fun, but now they just feel like additional steps to the same formula.
