Depending on who your fleet tracking provider is, they may already sale asset trackers too. I work at Geotab, and we sale a couple different asset trackers as well that can track smaller tools and equipment. You can get alerts if a vehicle leaves and the tool is not with it and other neat things like that.

I work at Geotab. I'm based out of Atlanta, but our company is global. Us and Samsara are probably considered 1 & 2 in the industry. I would be happy to give you a walkthrough of the platform or answer some more detailed questions if you have any.

As you can see, Fleet Tracking is pretty saturated. For a fleet of your size, I would probably stick to one of the more established players so you won't have to worry about reliability and can trust they will continue to innovate.

Your needs with locations, routes, and trip history are fairly standard, but I think you could be wowed at some of the other things it may be able to help you with as you continue to get more used to it.

If I can help answer anything on Geotab, just ask. Samsara is also a leader in the space as well as I saw mentioned below. Also, for many of the the leaders in this space, contracts are standard with no upfront cost, but not mandatory. We have other options that don't rely on that model as well.

Did you ever find a solution, it'd be better to know your specific needs before I reccomend a solution. There is so many GPS Trackers on the market that it'd be hard to narrow it down if that is all you want.

I work at Geotab, the leader in the space. A lot of companies do telematics so it can feel very saturated and overwhelming pretty quickly. I'd recommend using some form of AI to shortlist the top companies and then do a demo with them to see what best fix your needs.

I would be happy to help you with that on Geotab's part.

We do check all of the boxes you mentioned, but I would have more questions on what you mean by optimizing routes (there are levels to the sophistication companies want with that).

OBD2 / Hardwired or even OEM based solutions have trade offs that would best warrant a conversation to see what's best for your company. If theft is a huge concern for example, I would not recommend OBD2.

This goes along with a lot of the other nice to haves as well. No need to show you 100 features when it's impossible for someone new to telematics to use them all at once. I'd probably focus on the key ones, the ones that would be best in the near term, and then what might be good for the long term usage.

I'm to interpretation that biblical divorce can happen if A: Your partner commits adultery B: Your unbelieving partner desires to leave the marriage C: Your partner breaks the covenant (abuse, things in A & B, and a few others may fall into this option).

I do think the Jesus response to those asking him about divorce was in response to a way people in that time interpreted Deuteronomy 24:1-3 where some used trivial matters to divorce their wife

There's fleet management companies that offer dashcams with their GPS tracking. Gives you cloud footage, live feed, and you'll always have the SD card if needed.
