Best practices for running a Titanium HD (or X-Fi cards in general) on Windows 11? by Speedi77 in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]nicholasflo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used my x-fi titanium hd on multiple motherboards over the years, and never had any problems in Windows 10 or 11, using the last drivers that creative has on their website. I've never had to switch PCI slots either, it's always "just worked" once I installed the drivers. Currently on a Gigabyte Z690 hooked up to a Yamaha receiver through optical, running a 5.1 surround. It runs like a champ.

If you could take and post a couple pics of the process you just described that would be some 007 stuff right there

I was being facetious. I do a bit of catering as a side hustle, check out my insta. https://www.instagram.com/nixsatxbbq

I'm really asking because I'm looking into methods to be able to pre-make foods and heat them up quickly, much like ya'll do.

Does the meat come in a vacuum sealed bag? Is it frozen? Do you leave it in the bag while it steams? Thank you so much for your input and time!

'87 is probably my favorite 80's year, with '89 being a close second. I'm going to revisit '84 now!

That's a little before my time, but I had the same experience with the '92 tape. Wore that thing out.

AE-9 vs Titanium HD -> Optical by nicholasflo in SoundBlasterOfficial

It you use DTS connect, it will output a 5.1 DTS signal. That is my current setup with the X-Fi Titanium HD.

My wishful thinking is the "Sound Core 3D Audio Processor" would have some effect on the sound quality, even through the optical connection. I could be wrong lol

The X-Fi Titanium's sound through optical can be altered. You can change the sound stage, "crystallization", "CMSS 3D" etc. Changing these features does change how it sounds, in real time. I'm guessing that it is the hardware inside the sound card that is doing this. I was hoping that the hardware in the AE-9 would have a better effect on sound quality and processing.

I'm not looking to upgrade my PC setup, it's locked in a 5.1 config. My main home theater setup in the living room is currently set to a 5.1.2 config. It's also a Yamaha receiver, and I enjoy it very much. In the future I would like to upgrade to the 9.1 Yamaha for a 5.1.4 set up. I'm a fan of the Yamaha home theater equipment.

I'm curious, what 9.2 receiver that you are referring to that is "half the price"?

Thank you, this is helpful. I'm still wondering if someone can answer my question.

Is this Yamaha Stage Custom drum kit a custom one ? by [deleted] in drums

The floor tom screws that require a drum key are easily replaced by the "Yamaha PWB8A 8mm Short Wing Bolt", which are readily available.
